S.M. Entertainment has announced that Girls’ Generation’s “Mr.Mr.” mini album will be digitally released today, February 24th, at 5 PM KST. The mini album, consisting of six songs, will be released worldwide through iTunes, MelOn, Genie, and other music portals. The physical album will hit stores on February 27th.

In addition, Girls’ Generation’s first comeback performance has been scheduled for March 6th on Mnet’s “M! Countdown”. No official statement on the “Mr.Mr.” music video release date has been given at this time.

Honestly, I've already heard the album because I really couldn't help myself and I will admit that it was okay, nothing too outstanding but then again I probably expected too much. What I'm keeping my fingers crossed for is that they release the MV later today as well as "officially" releasing the album. Setting my alarm for later to see the spazz fest in action. Please let this be the comeback that I've been waiting for SM! >.<

What about the music video? Is that out at 5 too? I listened to the whole album already and it's... not very good. It sounds incredibly stale and I wish SNSD would do more daring things with their album tracks, it's not like they can't afford to take risks. Mr Mr is the best song but even that is iffy. I hope a good music video and performance will help it grow on me.

So no MV yet. Either they are actually releasing it together with 2NE1 or the article that said the MV could be delayed by two weeks is right. -_-

I like Mr.Mr. a whole lot, especially the last part of the song. It has a disconcertingly slow chorus, but I got used to it pretty fast. I think it will be even better with the video. I also liked Goodbye, Europa, and Soul. This whole comeback has been a mess though, I'm so frustrated with everything. I want a full album later in the year

Okay, Mr.Mr. was as boring as I knew it would be. It wouldn't even make the cut to be a Japanese b-side :/ BUT I'm still hyped for the visual masterpiece that will be the music video (aka Tumblr exploding).

I don't expect them to promote this for more than 2 weeks, so I think it wont have enough time to blemish their overall success. This comeback is just something to sedate their fans while testing the "sexy" waters (for like the 4th time).

I do like Mr. Mr. a lot, though I am not a fan of the chorusses. I think with the verses "sexy/bad girl" and during the chorus it sounds almost "cute/sweet". It did grow on me after a few listens and the mini is pretty good. I like Backhug and Goodbye the most. Soul is also awesome but I like the Chinese version more.
