Date: 2014-02-23 08:29 am (UTC)Anyway, I don't feel any romantic frisson between Chief and Jin-hee--for the most part I think they enjoy each other's company, Jin-hee has an awful lot of respect for the chief, and Chief Gook understands Jin-hee's situation and empathizes with her and sees her for the good-natured doctor that she is.
I'm pretty excited for next week's episodes! FINALLY we get to have more glimpses of how their relationship started--we started this drama in the highs of highs of their relationship (their wedding) and then the next scene we're shown the destruction of their marriage so I wanted to see WHY they would get married in the first place--WHAT made them fall for the other and WHY they would continue with it despite Changmin's family being against it.
(Anyway, now that they're divorced the only one who seemed really against Jin-hee in Changmin's family is his mother. The others seem cool about it. D:)

Date: 2014-02-23 08:50 pm (UTC)Jinhee and Chief Gook have a chemistry, but I feel like more like a close friend type one instead of chemistry.
Gook and Jihye - holy crap I love those two.
I'm really annoyed with the doormat like shit Jinhee and her mom have become with the sister, husband and baby. I get it as a plot device, but I don't like it.
Overall, I'm really liking the drama and if it is the last one JinHyuk does, he's going out pretty good.

Date: 2014-02-23 09:38 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's what I think of Chief and Jinhee's relationship too--a budding friendship and sunbae-hoobae relationship built from mutual respect and admiration. They're just so similar to each other (both hard on themselves, both willing to help patients for as long as they are able to, even to the point of compromising their jobs) that it's inevitable for them to have that kind of great relationship.
Haha, I'm on the fence about the sister and her family. For one, they're comic reliefs (especially Gwangsoo haha what a fitting name), but I do hate that her sister just dumped so much shocking info to Jinhee and her mom. Still, they ARE family, and despite it all her sister knows that her mom and her older sister has her back.
Oh goodness right right Jinhyuk's going to the army soon! ;_____; Noooooo

Date: 2014-02-23 09:49 pm (UTC)For Jinhee and Changmin's father, I think they are similar in the sense of their careers. I kind of wonder if Gook knows his father well or has crossed paths with him in some sort of mentoring way. They both have thrown themselves into their field. Gook has the hospital. The father has his research. Both at the cost of their relationships, it seems.

Date: 2014-02-23 10:02 am (UTC)But I was SO uneasy with that baby and how he was crying. A baby that young can't act and it was like they made and let him cry on purpose for the scenes. Poor baby was terrified irl.

Edit: nvm, I found the song. Should of guessed it was originally a song by the weeknd, sounds very much like him. I like Ellie Goulding's voice on this though.
