2NE1 Park Bom Raises Her Thumbs to Songs Composed by CL

2NE1’s Park Bom expressed her full satisfaction towards the songs written by her fellow member, CL.

Attending the press conference for 2NE1’s upcoming world tour at Kintex in Ilsan, Park Bom spoke up by saying, “The songs she (CL) composed are absolutely amazing.”

CL wrote and composed three of the songs included in 2NE1’s new second full-length album Crush, including Crush, and wrote the lyrics to two of her solo songs.

Park Bom claimed, “When I first heard Crush, I thought, ‘What is this?’ but the more I listened, the more I was reminded of I’m the Best. CL feels pressured, but the rest of us think that the song is really unique and awesome.”

She also added, “I didn’t expect the song to come out this great. It makes me stand out as a vocal, and I really love CL the songwriter.”

CL also confessed, “I’m excited to be presenting my own songs for the first time. When I worked on the songs, I didn’t think about including them in the album or having the members sing them, but now I’m nervous and excited.”

I like that how expressed that it made them feel like their voices are being heard for the first time as opposed to the fact that they are sometimes are given songs that doesn't their voice materials and they just have to sing it.

Awesome! This is what I've been expecting to hear after knowing CL has produced songs for their album. That she thoughtfully created the songs according to mates' own flavor/capabilities. Bom, I hope that there'll be no more excuses this time. We know you can sing, just commit to it and be disciplined enough to take care of your voice and avoid whatever shit that's wrecking it.

I hope this means she gets to sing in lower comfortable range again as for some reason Teddy always gives her parts that are way too high for her.

Anyhow, I hope CL's songs are great as that would mean we would get albums a lot more often as the girls wouldn't have to depend on Teddy so much.

Can't trust Dara's opinion. As the president of CL's fanclub and CL's #1 superfan, it's obviously very biased. XD
But it makes me glad knowing sink or swim, the other three are there to support and cheer their leader on. I really want CL to keep on writing. Even if these songs will suck, at least she tried, and if she could write, there's hope for the group.

i feel like this type of hype can hurt more than anything else, because if it's not omg amazing people will hate on her even more than normal.

i swear, i fell like i never saw a company make such a big fuss over a idol writing a song before as it never had happened before, and (part of) a fandom who accept the media play blindly and makes it worse as if it made her superior to others. it is annoying how i have the gift to find the worst of fans, even my own fandoms

I will reserve judgement till after I've listened to it all. I hope that it isn't floptastic. I really think that success will help to make YG give the group a little freedom and help them be independent musically. They are the only current YG group that isn't musically independent right now...
