I don't like the long hair pictures, they're really kind of messy, but the other ones are all right. They're kind of a throwback to his early hip-hop phase I feel (like when he was a teenager). I'm interested in reading the accompanying article.

The comments I read on Hypebeast's site though, when this was announced, left a foul taste in my mouth. So many hurtful or ignorant stuff like calling him gay (meant as an insult obviously) or saying only people in Asia cared for him and what was he doing in the magazine, etc. Maybe I'm naive but sometimes I forget people can be like that.

On a more positive note, the J.Estina campaign is a gift that keeps on giving. Special mention for GD's legs in that one picture, you know the one. I think we can all agree he should wear more shorts.

Don't take them seriously bb. :) Lol I'm sure majority of people online are trolls anyway.

And I don't want to be rude but yeah... while he is getting some attention in western media outlets (most of them who are looking to make off $$$ from hallyu), he is mostly unknown over here and honestlyyyy nobody (meaning general public) cares about him. Sometimes when all the articles you read is this or that kpop star getting stuff done overseas you think that they're more famous but it really isn't the case to be honest (I'm not implying that all you read is kpop stuff lol but in my case the majority of my pop news is kpop so I can see how somebody would get that kind of perspective over time).

So yeah in GENERAL, excluding the kpop fans, if you compare to most pop stars only people in Asia care about him lol. That's why most kpop artists go to Asia instead of western countries for tours and stuff

Of course I'm aware that GD is only known in certain circles outside of Asia. But the comments on that article were totally uncalled for and rude. Most were homophobic and some racist.

Perhaps that is 'normal' on the Internet, but if that is the case I'd rather keep being surprised by it, or hurt even, rather than accepting it without batting an eyelash.

Nah don't get me wrong I'm not excusing the comments about homophobia or racism or whatever :) the issues themselves are not acceptable obviously but my point was that people say whatever they want on the internet and sometimes they say these things to troll. Even if they're serious it's not like it has a huge effect on people (this situation would be different than cyber bullying in my opinion). I personally think Korean artists take netizen comments too seriously when they shouldn't but that's a whole other enchilada :) It's a bit different than if someone said that on broadcasted TV or something, then I would totally have a reason to be offended. But the anonymity of the internet just takes away a lot of credibility in my eyes. I've had people say racist or homophobic stuff to me on the internet but I didn't take it personally lol. They're just cowards saying this and that to provoke me so it's not a big deal.

I think "accepting it without batting an eyelash" and "ignoring these things because the people writing them is stupid" is a different issue though :P I don't get hurt or surprised by stuff people say on the internet because I take these things with a grain of salt, but that's just me. That is WAY different than excusing homophobia or racism IMO. :) I hope I didn't offend you because I'm in no way saying you should do this or that, that's obviously your call lol. I was just bringing up my opinion on it to share what I feel about it.
