Jeon Ji Hyun as Cheon Song Yi
Chun Song Yi is a famous actress who is notorious for her stunning looks and stupidly silly social media updates. She’s at the top of her game and is currently filming a new drama. While stubborn and opinionated, Song Yi is also troubled by the loneliness and isolation that comes with being a top star. When the media gets wind that she hasn’t been attending her graduate school classes, she is forced by her agency to attend on a regular basis. As fate would have it, her professor turns out to be none other than Min Joon, the same Min Joon who also happens to be her new nextdoor neighbor! Ready or not, her fate is already entwined with the stoic alien.
Kim Soo Hyun as Do Min Joon
Do Min Joon is an alien who landed on Earth during the early 1600s. He has lived more than 400 years as a human and prefers to keep his distance from other people. Retaining the same handsome, young appearance since his landing comes with a whole range of difficulties. Every 10 years Min Jin changes his identity in order to avoid suspicion. Not only that, but he also has senses 7x more acute than humans and has the power to stop time and even sometimes see into the future. His vast range of experiences and constant loneliness has instilled in him a sense of detachment and pessimism. According to him, there’s no point for him to be involved with people. Good thing he’ll be returning to his home planet in three months!
Park Hae Jin as Lee Hee Kyung
Lee Hee Kyung is the youngest son of a conglomerate. He is head-over-heels smitten with Song Yi and has been since their middle school days. He doesn’t have much of an interest in the family business and would much rather chase after his love. He’s proposed to Song Yi on multiple occasions, but they have thus far all failed. Don’t worry, this hasn’t stopped him from trying again and again.
Yoo In Na as Yoo Se Mi
Yoo Se Mi plays the second lead both in dramas and in her own life. She and Song Yi grew up together and both decided to pursue acting careers. Worse yet, she is in love with her friend Lee Hee Kyung, but he already loves Song Yi. Se Mi just can’t catch a break.

i decided that i'm not gonna watch any more of park ji eun's drama because there's too much comic skits for what it's worth. like i did not need that chun song yi scene in the car sobbing and singing when the previous scene right before was actually SERIOUS for once, emotions shattered boom!
i also dislike that semi is a no one now...
but i'm being too critical, i just don't like this writer. everything else about the show is great. the actors are great, the cinematography is fantastic, and the soundtrack is perfect.
also i've decided that park hae jin is perfect and that it's gonna be festive when april comes and dr. stranger starts YES LJS AND PHJ YUSSSS.
ALSO did anyone else know that chun song yi's ex manager/semi's current manager is almost forty????

Otherwise, really liked the episode.
Btw, SBS just confirmed the 1 episode extension, so we're going for the 21 mark.

i just hope the show doesn't have a lame endgame like him dying and her eventually growing old and dying then they both get reincarnated then have a happy ending in ANOTHER lifetime hahahaa

Date: 2014-02-15 01:12 am (UTC)seriously, i mean, it makes no sense and has no relation to the drama! but what surprised me the most was how threatened they seemed to be (that is how i interpreted it) in relation to suzy cameo, yes i get finding it bad, or not agreeing because won't add to the drama, but the way they were reacting was if suzy's character could in one scene ruin their entire drama and couple.
and funny, whenever i look around to see the reaction of those people, it is most of times younger ones who don't have a clue [so i kinda forgive] and married women, who even have children and all, who are really into the actor/drama and can get ridiculous petty.
lol srsly, i always find the worst of fandoms first, i am filled with bad luck!

Kim Soo Hyun is so good at crying tho he hurts me. The end of ep 16 esp when he was telling Songyi he had to leave and he hadn't started crying yet but you could basically hear everything in his voice like wow what a perf actor

I've ranted on Soompi but I'll just reiterate here that I hope the writer will move ahead with her storyline without having fans' reactions and expectations get to her too much, what with the extension and all. I'm a bit wary of the coming episodes, tbh. If it's not the halfway mark, it's the ending that'll break a show for me. But in this case, I'm cautiously optimistic since I generally like where the show is going so far.
His abrupt change of plans, from leaving in a month to staying, was a bit eh, just like that??? But I'm sure there'll be an explanation for that in the next episode. I want a happy ending for OTP but if DMJ leaving/ dying is what makes the most sense to wrap up the show then I'm okay with that too, I guess. Although with this writer I fully expect a few more tricks up her sleeve.

srsly I want to watch this episode again
and FINALLY evil hyung has been exposed by his own brother, *standing ovation* for Hui kyung, he's a good man, who stands by the his friend and wants to reveal the truth no matter what.
hope this drama have a happy ending, because he's either leaving or staying on earth to die eventually, unless he takes Song Yi with him, but that's a very long shot

Suzy, cameo just seemed like a waste of 5 minutes. Plus they broke up Samdong and Hyemi. Also I thought the way she behaved was out of character for Hyemi. I just don't see Hyemi fanboying over her professor and being that obvious. She was always so uptight on Dream High.
Will the freaking tell Song Yi that evil hyung is trying to kill her!!!!!!!!
