DAY 4: OMONALYMPICS FFA/STREAMING POST, SOCHI-STYLE~

It's that lovely time again where we all get to cheer on our country's top athletes...as well as our favorite Korean athletes too! This FFA will serve as a place to gather and chat about the games with your fellow Omonazens and there will be a new post every day with updates about medal counts, crazy wins, or heart-crushing losses.

For a schedule of what's going on each day, you can check here at the sochi 2014 website and well as the bbc website (that seems to be the only one I can find giving me times for events, lol)

MANAGED TO ACTUALLY LIVESTREAM BILODEAU'S GOLD BUT MISSED KINGSBURY'S SILVER. I feel bad for Gagnon though, he would have gotten a bronze had it not been for Kingsbury, but whatever, Canada's on top now!

I was surprised to see us win for short track! Hooray also for Woman's Hockey and Woman's Curling! I am psyched for today's figure skating!

Ahh there was someone here before that said that they curled in high school so they could probably explain it better than me but the gist to me is:

That goal is to have your team's stone be closest to the center. Each team has 8 stones to do this.

There's four people on each team (though in the olympics, I believe they have two alternate people too) that all rotate between throwing/delivering the stone, sweeping(to place stones in specific spots), and then (idk the proper name for them) one that looks at the current position of stones and thinks/plans the next throw.

You earn points if your stone is the closest and the amount of points is determined by the number of stones inside the circles.
