I think bom has a great voice but there is 2 things that annoys the hell out of me 1 stop singing from your throat god dammit your voice becomes screechy. 2 if you do have cold, change the setlist to songs with smaller range.

+1 I love her so much but it's way better to pick an easier song and make sure your voice sounds good rather than to pick a hard song and let everyone know you have a cold/sound bad.

you know what, at this point it's her fault. she isn't a baby to need someone else to force her to go back to vocal training. she had all the time in the world to do that if she wanted. she had one of the most distinct voices in kpop and she chose to completely fuck it up

Totally agree... I really like her personality and al and I loved her voice when she debutedl but singing is her profession and she should have never stopped working on her voice, there is always room for improvements but for some reason she decided to be lazy and now... well, now she just sounds bad.

Bom had multiple nose jobs, they could very much affect her breathing, airway obstruction after rhinoplasty is certainly possible. It looks asymmetrical on the outside so think what's happening on the inside (scar tissue alone...). Also, anesthesia can cause vocal cord injuries, which usually are temporary(days to weeks), but with repetitive damage, who knows?

The general consensus seems to be bad technique,but there's other theories such as plastic surgery interference. I think the most interesting is that she smokes and it's affected her voice, but I don't think she smokes/has been ever seen smoking before.

This video was actually very informative(except for the disgusting insults.) I really wish Bom would go on a vocal hiatus to just focus on improving her voice and taking lessons. At this rate she will end up not being able to sing at all. I feel like she knows she sounds like shit yet she doesn't want to try to fix it.

I remember loving her voice when she debuted but I also remember a lot of people saying how she needs to improve her breathing... Since then, not a whole lot improved and I don't know if it's due to laziness or if her nose jobs have messed something up (although her surgeon would have to let her know the possible consequences before the surgery). I always compare her to Minzy because when they debuted I thought that Minzy couldn't sing to save her life and now she sounds absolutely wonderful which is just a good proof of how far hard work can take you...

I don't know a whole lot about singing but I used to do a lot of theater in my free time and the actors would always tell us to use our diaphragm to project our voice rather than our throat because it will only hurt our vocal chords and when I hear her she sounds like she uses her throat to sing and it's so strained...
