Girls’ Generation’s Comeback Will Not Be Affected by SM the Ballad

An SM Representative made an official response to the buzz surrounding Girls’ Generation‘s comeback.

The representative told Osen News that Girl’s Generation will be staying on schedule and making their comeback this month. Although it was recently announced that SM’s project group, SM the Ballad, will be releasing their album on February 13, the rep denied that this addition will alter Girls’ Generation’s comeback. Rumors of Girls’ Generation postponing their comeback most likely stemmed from the fact that Taeyeon is also a participant of SM the Ballad.

Girl’s Generation’s comeback date is still a secret, although it is guessed to happen in the latter half of the month. Although there was a slight delay during the filming of the music video, it seems that it will be finished in time for their February comeback.

Just like I said earlier, I hope that since taeyeon is getting her solo, SME won't give TTS a comeback and debut another subunit this year.

And SMB start music promotions on 12 we are looking for last days of feb to get that comeback.

i just looked it up and it apparently starts on april 26th? and goes on and off through the end of july. so, there's a ... little bit of wiggle room there, but regardless, the girls are going to be exhausted, especially yoona and taeng. :/

Can't wait! they better give us some confirmed information, and i know many of them had vacations but others didn't, i wished they had more time before their new Japan tour, so they could enjoy their domestic promotions a little longer and rest a little more before going on tour, the girls were full of energy and looked so happy during IGAB so i wish to see them enjoying this comeback too.

i feel really conflicted about this. while i do want to hear new songs from them again, if the promotion will last only for a month or less, then i'd rather they just do it after (a month of) their arena tour. or rather, they should just postpone their japan promotions for at least a whole year cause they always seem to be there

They should have waited for the JP Tour and focused promoting properly in Korea, they deserve to have a proper comeback and it's gonna backfire a bit at some point...fans were already upset that they only promote in Korea for a month, next thing they'll say is "are they a Japanese group?". Anyway, should have promoted in Korea....then take a break and have some subunit promote and by the end of the year tour Japan...Idk, LET THEM REST

I do feel like the girls have had some time to relax and enjoy, though I don't necessarily think all of them did. Yoona has been extremely busy with her drama and some of the girls still had shows to film and such. Hyoyeon posted some videos skiing and Yuri & Tiffany talked about how they had some free time when they were in Milan. Taeyeon also posted a instagram video of her her the ocean and Jessica posts a lot of Weibo messages of her doing fun things (like seeing Frozen with Krystal). Plus they were all allowed (except Yoona) to go home for Lunar New Year. LOL. I like to believe they had some free time ^^

I heard a lot of rumors about people saying LSM wasn't satisfied with the MV, so they had to re-shoot it? Though I doubt that.
