Jung Hyong Don wants to be part of Nuthang

Jung Hyung Don showed his utmost interest and a bit of jealousy upon finding out that History′s leader, Kyung Il, is part of a private group of friends that includes Big Bang’s G-Dragon.

February 5’s broadcast of MBC Every1’s Weekly Idol will feature History members and their profiles.

During the show recording, Kyung Il, revealed that he is a part of ′Nu-Thang′, a group of friends that includes G-Dragon, T.O.P, Lee Soo Hyuk and more.

Upon hearing this, the MCs started showing their interest in Kyung Il, pouring out questions such as “How’s GD doing these days?” “What has T.O.P been up to?” and more.

Jung Hyung Don, after getting his updates about G-Dragon through Kyung Il, looked sad and started sending him a video message, making everyone laugh.

At 0.40 Jiyong introduces him at his birthday party saying, "And here's a descendant of wolves. He never opens the door but breaks it instead... Kyung Il-hyung!"

as she also hangs out with them, I think she partly did (of course she also has other male friends). any of the people mentioned here though -except kyung-il as I don't know him- I wouldn't be surprised if they were gay/bi.

I feel like she was referring to the American fashion designer friends rather than NuThang since she said they shop with her and comment on her clothes like "girl that's not working out for you". Lol for some reason I can't imagine that coming out of her Korean model friends.

she hasn't got that many American fashion friends though? Her Korean friends would not use that phrase obviously but whatever the Korean equivalent is.

I highly doubt she didn't refer to at least some of Nuthang, especially the ones she regularly hangs out with in any case (lee soo hyuk, gd)

Well I meant not just American fashion friends but American celebs and contacts in general :) And to be honest I think she DOES have a lot of them, according to her SNS stuff from parties and hang outs haha. I'm sure Jeremy Scott introduced her, she refers to him as her best friend.

Idk I asked my Korean friend just now and she said they don't really have an equivalent that creates the same connotation? (shrugs) I mean that type of speech is very West Coast American lol. And she said that in an English interview too.

I know I'm being nitpicky LOL but the OP's statement "ever since cl said that all (or most) her male friends are gay..." is kind of misquoted because I don't really remember her saying that all/most of her male friends are gay, only that her gay male friends are the only friends who can be honest with her about her fashion.

But who knows, maybe she was referring to Nuthang, I just didn't get that conclusion from that specific quote ^^

Looking at the interview, she says "she has so many gay friends" and "I can't be friends with guys" (I'm assuming she means straight guys here). And then she also says that about fashion, yes.

I think CL just used that kind of phrase as an example because she was talking in English here, and probably some of her American friends do say that. Her whole answer here is a bit 'overexaggerated' to be honest, were she to talk to a Korean magazine in Korean then she'd phrase it differently probably. But when GD goes shopping with her (and I'm sure they do sometimes) I can imagine him saying that something doesn't look good on her, of course. Not in that Californian way but in normal Korean.

Sure, we can agree to disagree about whether this is (partly) referring to Nuthang though!

haha, I know, my first reaction when I saw this was 'wait, GD is close friends with someone from a rookie group?!' But obviously they've been friends since before he debuted, so it makes more sense that way. I think most people in Nuthang go way back.

I wonder how the other members feel though, lol. Their leader besties with gd and top, that sounds pretty good.
