Hello.
This is Jellyfish Entertainment.
We sincerely apologize for causing anxiety and discomfort to fans throughout this series of events. We have checked and organized things in regards to the 10asia interview together along with the contents of the fans’ requests for changes. We will take this incident as a model for the future as well, and listen to the fans’ valuable opinions. Rather than letting it pass through internal meetings, we will do our utmost for the improvements to lead outside. We feel an even heavier responsibility knowing the hearts of the many fans who treasure and support VIXX.
Just like what the many fans have said, this is Jellyfish’s first time entering the idol market together with VIXX, and a lot of things are done through trial and error. We are not boasting because VIXX has achieved particular results. The road we have to walk is further, and we recognize that it’s a road that we have to walk together with the fans. We acknowledge that we are lacking, and will try our best to only show a more developed side of us in the future.
In the explanation below, we ask for your generous understanding of what we are lacking in. It is not to say that this perfectly changes everything at once. We will work hard to become a Jellyfish that can show gradual changes through sincere communication. Again, we bow our heads to the fans and apologize for what this has caused.
Thank you.
[In regards to the 10asia interview]
Firstly, the staff member responsible for the disgraceful situation that arised during the 10asia interview personally sought out the media reporter and politely apologized, resolving the misunderstanding. This will never happen again at interview sites.
[In regards to collecting and treatment of fans’ personal information]
While leveling up official fanclub members in the fancafe, we apologize for causing discomfort by requesting more information than was needed. We will reform in order to not cause this discomfort again. Besides leveling up, we will also make sure to not require more personal information than needed in regards to all fanclub operations.
[Staffs’ behavior as mentioned by fans]
We have checked Jellyfish staffs’ actions that have caused offense to fans. Even if we must take internal disciplinary action, we will take corrective measures without fail. We ask for your understanding, as we are unable to list all the incidents that have happened. In places where the fans can personally meet VIXX, we will devote ourselves to pay attention to our words and actions through internal education that will follow with complete correspondence.
[In regards to fancafe management and feedback]
We apologize for not being able to provide correct and fast feedback to fans’ questions or suggestions. We will listen more carefully to Starlights’ opinions as we change the system, and we will work hard to communicate with fans in order to run the fancafe smoothly. In the event that the past rules and regulations are to be re-examined, we will notify you.

Date: 2014-02-05 03:06 am (UTC)Now they better follow through. Because starlights are not having it.
And at least they added to part that they cant promise perfect change right away.
Im surprised they admitted to their faults so willingly. This is good. Starlights better not start thinking they can make demands from now on for every little thing that displeases them.
Im also really proud of how k-starlights decided to involve the international fandom with this.

Date: 2014-02-05 03:27 am (UTC)When I saw the fansites and big fan names tweeting to official accounts, I knew K-Starlights mean business. At first I thought the DVD-boycotting was a bit ridiculous and it could go wrong, but it made Jellpi aware of the situation? That, and the 10asia interview. I guess this is what you get when you keep holding intimate fan meets- the fans are brave enough to be vocal when they notice things are wrong.

Date: 2014-02-05 03:40 am (UTC)And this whole thing started wi the tenasia incident, when an industry insider reacts that way and publishes the article, you know changes need to be made whether or not fandom demanded it. The fancafe and personal info are just like icing on top.

Date: 2014-02-05 03:35 am (UTC)Jelpi responded quickly though and apologized...it's not like it's something that's hard to resolve after all
We'll see how they do in the future because I am still a bit annoyed at the VIXX fansign getting turned into a high five session for their LA concert
Re: When I saw the Korean petition and the International petition at Change.org
Date: 2014-02-05 03:40 am (UTC)Did they promise a fansign and then changed it at the last minute? Ugh that sucks :\ I hate the way fansigns work too, I get that there's a time limit but it sucks when staff rush the fans and they barely get a word in. I went to Topp Dogg's fansign here and a girl missed one of the member's autograph because the staff rushed her off stage. I was so mad for her.

Date: 2014-02-05 04:50 pm (UTC)I dont ever recall jelpi asking for donations to them, but thye've always encouraged fans to donate instead of buying gifts for the boys even early during the debut. The boys asked fans not to bring gifts to fansigns becuase they felt bad to those people who felt bad for not being able to give them anything on fansigns.fansigns is a way for them to meet fans, not receive presents. Very rarely do they accept gifts like maybe birthdays? Mostly just letters, they opened a PO box for letters. They dont accept anything on airports but sometimes when managers are in a good mood i guess, they take them. But the boys themselves never accept anything. Must be a rule for safety or whatever.
