G-Dragon has proven his popularity as a Hallyu star in China.
On January 30, Chinese press Xinminwang reported that G-Dragon is the number one Korean celebrity Chinese fans want to spend the Lunar New Year with.
A poll was conducted for 15 days last month on which Korean celebrities fans would want to spend their new year holiday with. G-Dragon ranked first with 19% of the votes. Second place was actor Kim Soo Hyun (17%) and 3rd place was EXO's Luhan (16%). 2PM Nichkhun, FT Island Lee Hong Ki, EXO Kris, JYJ Park Yoo Chun, and actors Lee Min Ho and Jang Keun Suk also got votes from Chinese fans.
BIGBANG recently held concerts at the Seoul Olympics Park Gymnastics Arena. It was announced that the group will be releasing an album this summer.

A bit surprising to me as Big Bang has like zero promotional activities in China, but then I'm also not surprised at all. I'd vote the same as the majority of Chinese k-pop fans; who would you choose? For any holiday.
