JYJ
‘s agency C-JeS lashed out against several netizens who have left extremely harmful comments on Kim Jaejoong‘s social media account.

On February 3, C-JeS contacted the cyber investigation unit at the Gangnam police station to ask to investigate several netizens who have left hurtful comments on Kim Jaejoong’s Twitter account.

The C-JeS sources spoke with Star News and said, “Since Twitter’s headquarters are located in America, we expect there to be a slight time delay but we will follow investigation protocols and take strong legal action against these commenters.”

C-JeS also revealed their intentions to sue the netizens for slander and defamation for spreading false rumors about Jaejoong and his family.

The source continued, “Please consider the psychological pain that the family members are receiving due to these harmful comments. These negative comments have crossed the line. It has become too big of a scar for a public figure to handle. Of course there are damages to his image as well. We think these comments have crossed the line of being free speech as an anti-fan and that it can be considered as a crime.”

The source added, “We hope the negative commenters will learn that their irresponsible words can be a huge crime.”

C-JeS also posted a message on their Facebook, calling out the six netizens on Twitter for their harmful comments. They also posted screen caps of these netizens’ tweets, including one netizen who continuously tweeted hashtags with “Kim Jaejoong and his older sister commit incest” and another netizen who tweeted hashtags that said, “Kim Jaejoong is a complete pervert.”

This time I actually understand them for doing this. Saw some pretty disgusting tweets about him and his niece

Good.

Nobody talks shit about baby Hyuna and gets away with it. She's a child for god's sake.
The fuck is wrong with these people.

Were they talking about those adorable pics he recently tweeted? What could they possibly find wrong with those pics that they have to go after him or his niece?

Totally agree.

When this crazy made their first account to spam I thought it was best to ignore because those people are always doing this and I actually kind of felt bad for her since it's seollal, which is one of the biggest family holidays in Korea, and she's spending all day spamming Jaejoong instead of being with loved ones.

But then she created five more accounts and dragged a baby into this mess and it's just so disgusting overall.

This reminds me of the terrible rumors that people tried to spread when JYJ first left SM--that was one of the worst times in this fandom and the vitriol was very similar.
I don't usually agree with CJeS but things like this need immediate reaction. You just don't bring little kids and family into things.

Wow, wtf?! That's a really horrible thing to say or even infer about someone. Glad C-Jes is taking action. Ppl should be held accountable for what they say, even online, in cases like this.

Wooow. Like. I kind of despise Jaejoong (unrepentant woman beater that he is) and the fact that he still has fans that will defend his every breath and action, but... shit. That's not cool, netizens. I don't care how much you hate somebody but dragging their family members into it is never okay. Even with my complete and utter lack of respect for Jaejoong I don't go out of my way to tweet at him that he should die (or whatever).

I kind of wish the USA would actually start to crack down on the extreme cyber bullying, both of celebrities and "normal" people. It's gotten way out of control.

I don't agree with the "delete, ignore, and move on" approach because once something's out there, it's out there forever.
Even if you ignore someone, there's no guarantee that they're going to stop. A lot of times, that just makes them retaliate harder.
I'm glad someone is finally treating these sorts of things seriously and is taking action.

Interestingly enough, in a recent tutorial on defamation, our professor was discussing ownership of content on the Internet. Theoretically, you are liable for everything you publish on the web, regardless of whether you delete it or not. Your content gets archived, cached, and you might be unlucky enough that someone screenshots your abuse (as an example) and keeps it as proof.

That said, just because there's a basis for liability doesn't mean that policing is in actual fact particularly effective. Big platforms like Twitter just don't have much of an incentive to follow a lot of these things up.

I saw many of the tweets too, but am still wondering what originally made them actually hate Jaejoong? Two of them are hardcore 2VXQ fans, who've been harassing JJ ever since the split in some ways, but one other is actually quite young and doesn't seem to even have been around when the split happened... Hm.
This is one of the reasons why even though I understand the language, most of the times fail to understand the culture and extremes of kpop.

From: [identity profile] jaejoong.livejournal.com
Even young fans who join one side or the other post-split tend to end up hating the other side just because everyone else does and if they take a neutral stance they'll be ostracized.

I'm speaking only from my experience of living in Korea throughout my teen years and being involved in fandom, but it's much more intense in Korean fandom than it is internationally.
Middle and High School students don't really have the opportunity to pursue hobbies outside of their studies. Ex-cirriculars are rare and become less the closer the student gets to university exams. So fandom become their only non academic outlet. And the entertainment companies know this and exploit this by making these idols seem so accessible.

So when you take a bunch of teenage girls (who are irrational solely because, well, they're teenagers), put them in an extremely high pressure and high stress society, and then give them only one outlet, and have that outlet be good looking boys who talk about how they want to marry fans and ~omg i've never had my first kiss yet~ & what not, they're going to take it to the extreme.

I agree on them taking actions.
People say a lot of things on the internet, make up rumors with not actual proof and because they hide behind their computers they think there is no real consecuences behind their actions.

Not to mention that they dragged his sistes, his father, who is an old man with nothing to do with anything and on top of that his niece who is like 10 years old.

Im glad the girl doesnt have a twitter account because Im almost sure the antifan would go as far as to spam her as well

Been a netizen is a frightful thing to become, such a freedom to write what the mind is actually thinking but the mind to mouth and action filter don't let us. Sometimes netizens write his most obscure ideas, sometimes they took a stand when in real life they don't even speak.
I don't think words can be pick up once you let it go, not words written, spoken or record in those times.

It's never, ever right in any circumstances to drag family into a situation with a celebrity. Ever. However, it's even MORE fucked up to bring a child into the situation. It's universally a big fat NO. Not to mention it's kind of sick that the guy is being deemed evil and a pedo by these antis when he's actually a pretty damn epic uncle. But logic doesn't have any part in these sorts of things, I suppose.

Would be nice to see more dads/uncles/brothers that close to their family members. :/ Hyuna's got a great uncle, and I don't doubt for a second she'll grow up to be his little buddy.

Though I don't usually agree with CJES's action, I support them this time round. It's too much when they drag in family and turn such adorable love and affection he has for his family into something sick. It's sad how because of hatred for one person, the hater uses any means to bring him/her down, even if it means using an innocent little girl in this case.

It's really sad how some Omonanians take every single chance to bash him for the same thing that has been discussed, debated for so many times. Yeah, we get that Jaejong is not an angel and he's a douche for doing that to the girl but audios could be manipulated and there were also debates that the audio sounded to be edited (but no proof there). And if he's a proven repeated women beater, why is there no photos or videos of JJ abusing being circulated around even when Jaejoong is famous for having antis who can't wait to bring him down?

I'm not condoning his action nor do I see him as saint but he did apologise and up till now, have we heard of any repeated incidents. Does no one deserves a second chance? Its' a different case if there are evidence to proof that he is a "unrepentant women beater". Of course if he beat up the girl so much that she get bruises or was bleeding and etc, he's definitely a sick asshole that doesn't even deserves to be given a second chance even if he's onlly done it once. And have we fail to see the context where he was repeated stalked by saesaengs for so many years? We've heard of fans breaking into their dorm stealing their stuff and even kissing him >.<" Does all these factors not count into the state of mind he was in? I'm not saying that this gave Jaejong the excuse to be violent but it does play a part in his state of mind at that point of time right? So we should just ignore all his sufferings and just zoom in on the incident and yeah, let's condemn him and give him the death sentence? That said, I hope that Jaechun has actually went for professional counselling to learn how to cope/ control their angers/ frustrations better.

Continuously calling him a "unrepentant women beater" is TOO MUCH. And it's especially frustrating when the saesaeng incidents keep being dragged into so many of Jaejoong's post when there is no remote connection whatsoever.

You don't like Jaejoong? Fine. You hate Jaejoong? Fine. It's your choice. But is there a need to cause other omonians that support him distress or unhappiness ? You have your right to not support and hate Jaejoong. Go ahead, no one is stopping you. But is there a need to cause fans who are happily supporting him and/or his music unhappiness almost every time there is news or post about him in Omona?

MODs, I understand that everyone has the freedom of speech and they are entitled to their own opinion and everyone is free to be given the chance to express their thoughts. But if the same thing is being brought up again and again in so many of Jaejoong's post that is causing so many of Jaejoong's fans distress, does this count as just merely freedom expression of speech/opinion? If it's the first time this being talked about, sure, go ahead and comment/ debate. I think it's also fine if it's the second or third time being brought up. But if it's repeatedly brought up and it's causing unhappiness to other omonians who are Jaejoong's fans, then may I ask, is this fair to members who are still supporting him and is this still merely some member(s) expressing their personal views on certain issue? I impore the Mods to look into this. Thank you in advance.

You basically summed up every thing that I've been feeling about Jaejoong for a long time. I'm not gonna lie Jaejoong is my bias but I'm not a stan. I am not helplessly in love with him but I do respect him. I'm not entirely sure what all went down behind that audio but none of us will ever really know what happened. No I am not making excuses for him and if he really did do all that bad stuff I absoulety do not condone it. Regardless though I think that Jaejoong is sorry for what he's done and he's definitely not a "unrepentant woman beater". People try to make it seem like that's what he does all day long. Going around beating up women like his day is not complete unless he does so. Like WTF??...I worry about him I honestly do. He's already having a hard time because he won't be able to see his fans once he goes to the military. He even weeped about it. If that does not say that he's at least a halfway decent guy that cares then I don't know what does.

Sorry about my little rant but you just really inspired me to say something too. I'm one of the ones that you mentioned that's too afraid to come on here for fear of being attacked.

One last thing though! That complete and utter bullcrap about him being a pedophile and committing incest makes my skin crawl. Some people really need to work on finding a life of their own instead of worrying about someone else's. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't speak. Justice will prevail whether through the legal system or otherwise.
