Yoo Yeon Seok is flawless, set to take a charity trip to Africa

Yoo Yeon Seok is visiting Africa with NGO World Vision to share hopes with African Children.

Yoo Yeon Seok, who recently became very popular in Korea by appearing in hit series ‘Reply 1994,’ announced that he will be vising Africa soon.

According to his agency, Yoo and NGO World Vision have prepared for this project for a while. When he arrives there, the actor will share hope and dreams by painting their school and support them to live in better conditions.

In addition, the actor is planning to hold a small sports day for 350 children so that they can remember this day forever and share love.

Regarding this voluntary service, Yoo Yeon Seok said, “I always have thought of helping pure children in Africa and I just got this great opportunity. I’m going to do my best to support them dreaming future in every way possible.”

Meanwhile, Yoo Yeon Seok recently signed contracts with several films and is continuing to manage his busy schedule.

Earlier when I first read the news article it just gave me uneasy feeling when they just mentioned "Africa" without giving specific name of the country in that continent, but I didn't give it further thought.

And then I saw a few negative reactions through twitter and after being puzzled, I decided to read more on this matter and I'm glad that I learn about this issue more through this.

Judge me all you want but to be honest, before this, I don't give much thought on these kind of celebrity charity visits. ;___; What I though was rather simple: How heart warming it is to see those celebrities who were doing charity visits in the countries. Just that. But after reading more about this today, I learned more on it and it opened my eyes.

But I hope YYS will not be getting intense hate for this for I know he meant it well, but pretty much ignorant like how I was about this matter before this.

Aside from missionaries trying to force their religion down people's throats and the publicity angle, what's bad about celebs going for charity? I always see people mad or nhf news reports like this but never really understood why.
