probably not, but i guess now he can envision all the things he could buy with the money sm pays him. jokes aside, he's amazing in this video

but that was janet jackson tho, i think?

this is a really good instruction video. It actually pays attention to the details.
Oh Tony Testa, I hope this was just for fun and not something you actually need to do to pay your bills.

I love this choreo so much man... And when you have it all during their lives with the dancers and mics + strings it's so amazing. Might wanna try following this tutorial when I get the time lol

It was actually really easy to follow because he breaks it down, repeats it and has both views. Granted I have a few years background on dance but I am sorely out of practice (minus 2x a week Zumba/Zumba toning classes) and even I could keep up.

I generally find his choreo's to be awesome, I will always love him for the masterpiece that is Sherlock and the modern art performance known as Wolf. But for real, he consistently produces really unique stuff and I'm happy SM has him

this. like his style or not, he definitely brings something new and unique to the kpop choreo table

ia with everything. i'll never understand the flack that wolf choreo got. i thought it was really creative and, like you said, a "modern art performance"

ia. tbh i think Tony Testa is good for SM, I wish they had other/ different choreographers in their roster because that would enrich their dancers abilities but I think this man usually knows how to work with the music sm gives him.

Oh they do :) Jaewon (or beatburgerjae as he's known on SNS) works for SM full time and he choreographed Growl with Nick Bass (who's badass).

Rino Nakasone Razalan has choreographed perhaps the most well known SM dances (Genie, Replay, Hello, etc.) and she's awesome and still works w/ them a lot (she did SNSD's Love&Girls last summer)

They also have Greg Hwang who worked w/ EXO on History and Angel. And SM outsources some other stuff (Like NappyTabs for IGAB)

Jillian Meyers works a lot w/ f(x): she did RPPP and Electric Shock

I know they had all this choreographers, I wish Shinee work with Rino again. And I like Greg for EXO, I like how obvious is that Kai trained with him.But i was talking about more international/ new choreographers to work. SM is pretty big, they can still work with external choreographers for a concrete concept without the necessity to add them in their rooster. That is how the Tony Testa phase started, there is out there so much great choreographers

I don't like his style, I always hate his choreos with a passion tbh.

He was considered average before working with SME, now he's hyped (with kpop fans and in Korea at least) because people think his work with MJ was huge but lbr that was all Travys Payne work lmao

he was considered average? he always was pretty celebrated in the dance industry (but, i also hate his choreo and overall work, and i never understood why everybody in the U.S. dance industry wanted to work with him).

Wow, haha. That was a htg detailed video (really good too), but I'll leave the dancing to the oppas, man. I'll just stick to this pixel observation thing I have that's been going on for a few years now.
