Lee Hyori to Compose Spica’s Comeback Song

Girl group Spica will be making a comeback soon!

While we can look forward to seeing the guaranteed talent of Spica, we can also look forward to more of fellow artist Lee Hyori’s musical skills and growth. Lee Hyori, who wrote the lyrics for Spica’s previous track “Tonight,” will be both composing the song and writing the lyrics for Spica’s comeback song.

Not only did Lee Hyori write the lyrics for “Tonight,” but she was also in charge of the overall production of Spica’s promotion for the song, helping the girls to nab high spots on music and video charts. Thus, there is much expectation and anticipation for Spica’s comeback, whose date is yet unspecified.

Meanwhile, Lee Hyori and husband Lee Sang Soon released the track “Don’t Cry” for “I Need Romance 3” OST.

bunch of gross comments :/ they're are plenty of girl groups with 'older' members + it's the same for boy bands (but they never get these type of comments directed at them go figure). unfair to target spica bc of their age. smh.

spica did well with tonight last year, it reached no.10 on gaon or smth. stay pressed netizens

They may be good singers but there's nothing special about them.

Yet every other article I see netizens complaining how idols are terrible singers, then when a group that has amazing vocals comes along, "they're nothing special".

And they're not even that old? They're like in their mid-20s while BEG are 30.

Their 1st EP was amazing, everything else that followed it though... dnw. Their management needs to pull their shit together and get the girls a super addictive hit song. And this needs to happen fast considering the age of the members, if they still want to have something of a career ahead of themselves that is. I feel weird echoing the sentiments of the netizens but I don't think Lee Hyori is the right kind of 'producer' for them (and I only have the snoozefest that was Tonight as proof). Someone help these girls get rid of their irrelevancy, they're so talented in the vocals department!

But they can't rely on the Hyori factor forever. Judging by the netizen comments posted above, it looks like being so closely linked with Hyori won't help them get a stronger fan base and find their own identity as a girl group.

I think G.na's oops came out March 2013 so it's been almost a year. I think she featured on someone's album recently bc I remember seeing some1 mention that in some other post, but that wasn't a promoted track to my knowledge.
