Jeon Ji Hyun as Cheon Song Yi
Chun Song Yi is a famous actress who is notorious for her stunning looks and stupidly silly social media updates. She’s at the top of her game and is currently filming a new drama. While stubborn and opinionated, Song Yi is also troubled by the loneliness and isolation that comes with being a top star. When the media gets wind that she hasn’t been attending her graduate school classes, she is forced by her agency to attend on a regular basis. As fate would have it, her professor turns out to be none other than Min Joon, the same Min Joon who also happens to be her new nextdoor neighbor! Ready or not, her fate is already entwined with the stoic alien.


Kim Soo Hyun as Do Min Joon
Do Min Joon is an alien who landed on Earth during the early 1600s. He has lived more than 400 years as a human and prefers to keep his distance from other people. Retaining the same handsome, young appearance since his landing comes with a whole range of difficulties. Every 10 years Min Jin changes his identity in order to avoid suspicion. Not only that, but he also has senses 7x more acute than humans and has the power to stop time and even sometimes see into the future. His vast range of experiences and constant loneliness has instilled in him a sense of detachment and pessimism. According to him, there’s no point for him to be involved with people. Good thing he’ll be returning to his home planet in three months!


Park Hae Jin as Lee Hee Kyung
Lee Hee Kyung is the youngest son of a conglomerate. He is head-over-heels smitten with Song Yi and has been since their middle school days. He doesn’t have much of an interest in the family business and would much rather chase after his love. He’s proposed to Song Yi on multiple occasions, but they have thus far all failed. Don’t worry, this hasn’t stopped him from trying again and again.


Yoo In Na as Yoo Se Mi
Yoo Se Mi plays the second lead both in dramas and in her own life. She and Song Yi grew up together and both decided to pursue acting careers. Worse yet, she is in love with her friend Lee Hee Kyung, but he already loves Song Yi.  Se Mi just can’t catch a break.

The end of the episode was so funny. That poor doctor was so scared either for her and/or of her. Lol. He really thought she was crazy! Hahha xD

I was just telling someone in the FFA post that I give this a 6 or 7 out of 10 bc it felt like it was dragging bc they don't seem to do much with the supporting cast, in terms of sub-plots. But eps 10 and we're getting some major plot movement. So solid 7.5 I think so far. We shall see...

I can't wait until her librarian, bookstore owner friend finds out that her "love from a distant beautiful star" is Do Manager and Song Yi likes him. HA!

Se Mi can not show up anymore and I'd be perfectly ok with that. I know she's just posed to f some sh*t up in future eps.

Evil hyung is evil, but when he was wearing that tight ass black turtleneck sweater...I forgot he was evil for about .05 seconds.

i think i'm the only one, but chun song yi is starting to aggravate me, and i think it's jun ji hyun's acting. she's acting beyond funny to a point it seems forced and overdone, especially the epilogue in ep 10 and parts of the balcony scene.

there's a lot of plot holes, like semi recognizing minjoon from the photograph seems to cause a domino effect with other characters but it's just a forced link, like who takes a picture when your best friend almost got hit by a truck a second ago, and lee yi kyung is probably the most talented in the entire drama because dude he's the one who does all the killing and sneaking and how the hell did he find the secret lair right away when it's supposed to be freaking hidden?

also i think the drama is trying to portray semi as evil bitch but it's kinda understandable where she's coming from, and i'm a bit sad that she's gonna be the typical bitchy second lead, partly because the drama is portraying her worse than she needs to be.

No, I agree with you re: Chun Song Yi. I've never warmed up to her character and while I can see why people like her because she's funny, I just do not care for her it all. I think it's Jeon Ji Hyun's acting too; I just don't really like the way she plays her because it's so exaggerated and unnatural and even the way she speaks is annoying to me. It's just not realistic imo bc who in the hell actually talks like that? It just really gets on my nerves idek.

so last night I was at ep 4 because I was watching this and 1994 at the same time and just ahh no time. but i ended up staying up til 5am and catching up and oh my goddddddd. freakin fave drama right now. we are half way through like...how much more can happen AHHH.

I think now Jae Kyung is going to try and "reveal" Min Joon or something along those lines.

Haha oh my gosh, how could you leave those two gifs outside of the cut? I'd watched episode 9, but I didn't know episode 10 was out yet, so I was just scrolling down and went, "WHAT?" O.O When I saw that. Then I was waiting for that moment throughout the whole episode. XD So cruel.

For some reason I'm glad that the evil guy knows about Do Min Joon. I want him to be a little freaked out. I do agree that it seems weird that his lackey got into Do Min Joon's apartment AND into the secret room. It just doesn't make any sense.

Another plot hole: the guy talking to Song Yi about how she hadn't any income for "a few months"...but she met Do Min Joon when he only had three months left, so...how long has it been??? Maybe a month, sure, but no longer than that, I don't think. And I think even a month is almost stretching it.

Anyway, I'm definitely enjoying this drama, but there are far too many plot holes. >.

Can I just say that I think Song Cheon Yi is THE MOST FEMINIST heroine in the entire history of k-dramas right now? I'm seriously this close to writing a manifesto about her and how her character should be the model for all k-drama heroines ever. A THOUSAND TIMES LOVE AND LIVE ONLY FOR FOR HER. THE END.

Ikr! It's like she's one of the only k-drama heroines who f*cking knows what she wants (to be) and doesn't put on that fake "I'm so naive and pretend I have a low self-esteem so the other guys will think I'm so unbelievably modest that they have to fall in love with me" :D
There are some other actresses that I think tend to portray a good main role, one of the is probably Gong Hyo Jin, but they are mostly rare.

SONG YI'S CONFESSION WAS SO GREAT AND THE ELEVATOR/CLIFF+GUN SCENE BETW MIN JOON AND EVIL HYUNG LIKE HOW IS EVIL HYUNG GONNA HANDLE HIM NOW WHAT IS HE GONNA DO NOW THAT MIN JOON HAS COMPLETELY SHOWN HIS POWERS

Song Yi was so cute when she dressed up in a fancy dress and heels just to see Min Joon ehehehehe

oh and another reason why I love this drama so much is because there's never a slow paced episode... there's always intense shit going on in the background of the romance parts and even the romance parts are actually heading towards a direction, without the wishy-washiness of other dramas
