They named the name of the album but it was bleeped out, so we still won't know what it is called, lol. They also decided to have a set list in two weeks? So unless that album is already finished and ready to go, I don't see it being on the set list.
Nope. We have been promised one for more than a year now? Somewhere around the release of ILY we were first teased with it if I am correct. YG is just so full of shit and I wish the girls would just take some control in the process of the album because even though they will obviously always have their fans, this is not winning them any new souls or anything.
Yeah you're right. I think that maybe they are being kind of pushed at the end of the list with all the comebacks that should be released ( february with winner and akdong making their debuts-not really sure for the rest) since they already had a comeback with missing you. It would be fantastic if they could control the process or the album, but well..
i know but I feel like they keep on replacing/rewriting songs on the album because otherwise it could have been released easily already. I simply don't see them make a set list with songs that haven't even seen the light of day yet, so I suppose it will just be the same old set list as usual with a few new additions.
Sigh. I deeply hope that they will still have time to release an actual full album (do not give me a tricking mini after all this time) and promote it thoroughly but I just don't see it happen, at least not before the tour.
nah I'd bet money they aren't replacing/re-recording anything, taeyang's album has been ready for god knows how long and it still isn't out (not that I'm complaining). missing you was probably ready for god knows how long but yg purposely waited till winter to release it. and I'm pretty sure there will be an album (full/mini) out before the tour, it's not like they don't know how the last tour went so they'd have to be crazy to spend all that money on a tour that's not going to sell
First you have Jeremy clothes and then that dances was all over the place imo like they wanted to impress us but they couldn't do it right..and the fact that CL and Minzy didn't have solo songs to perform was not a good look and other things I probably can't remember right now
hopefully they'll have the album to sell while touring. having a new album as tour merch is a great way to make sure fans actually buy the dang thing. sounds like it'll be used in their set list, yay!
I don't mind if they release the album juz before the tour, like only one week ahead, with no music shows but promote through the tour. For fans who can't be at the concerts, they should broadcast their first Korea concert from TV Channels.
Excited! The stages for the concert are going to be so fab. I was amazed by the quality and the amount of work their team put for their last tour. I hope they get time to promote it before the tour though. I feel like it's close.

this is so frustrating for me. 2NE1 was my first girl group that i absolutely love(d) and they could be so much more by now. SO MUCH MORE. but with YG executive producing everything shit doesn't get done. he doesn't know balance. i feel like he is just looking for the next big thing and doesn't give a crap about the awesome talent that he already has.
and not only him, 2NE1 have been in the game for four years now. it's time to start taking some creative control. work with different producers, try new things, write your own songs. i mean! blackjacks will love 2NE1 as long as they are being true to themselves. i'm starting to see this "perfection" thing as an excuse. sure, i get perfection. but i am...there is only so much you can do, you know?
as a fan, i just feel frustrated. if they had AT LEAST a 2nd album already out, i would be so pumped for this tour. but all i can see is that this will be a 2nd tour, probably to the places they haven't been before, promoting (yet again) their 1st (and only album until I hear concrete details about this 2nd one, such as...oh idk...A RELEASE DATE!) album and the mini albums / singles that they have put out. it would have been better if they would've just kept saying they were working on it and not changing it to "it will release very soon".
i guess what i'm trying to say is is that i'll believe everything when i see it. /end rant
thank you! and i agree. it sucks for them to be compared to big bang, but really who else are people gonna compare them to? weren't they supposed to be "the female big bang" anyways? lol but yes, i feel like it's sort of a double standard with YG / YG artists. i feel as if he praises the guys and hangs out with them and he's considered more of a "hyung" than a CEO, you know? most of the male artists write, produce, plan, ect. most of their music. they get most of the creative control.
where as with 2NE1 and maybe gummy (when she was there) and lee hi, they don't write, they're not producing and YG isn't that "oppa" / brotherly figure to / for them. he is their CEO. sure, they might get some creative control, but i doubt as much as the male artists do.
granted, idk what's going on behind the scenes. i'm guessing that gummy has written before and i know that CL wrote a rap for some ad, but i'm talking about overall. 2NE1 has been around for four years. i would have expected them to take more control especially being from a bigger label because they have all the resources they would need to learn how to do all of that at their fingertips. it would be great if for the 2nd album, they are writing and producing their own songs. i would be so flippin' happy.
i just hope that this album / tour really works out well. i know that my rant and probably this sounds bitter, but as you said, it sucks when your fave (especially when they have talent and the potential to go even higher) are at this plateau and they haven't gotten over it.
