SISTAR’s Hyolyn wants more plastic surgery - but is too afraid to get it.
January 7’s broadcast of Mnet’s Beatles Code 3D continued to feature Hyolyn, Tae Jin Ah and Lee Jung as guests.
During the show, Hyolyn showed off her rapping skills through Yoon Mirae’s song Memories, confessing, “I actually like rapping more than singing. I’ve always wanted to show you this side of me, since I always just sing on stage.”
MC Shin Dong Yeop praised her by saying, “You are good at rapping, singing and even have a pretty face. Don’t get plastic surgery later on,” to which Hyolyn answered, “I want to get surgery.”
Then she added, “But I’m scared to. I do okay with shots or IV needles, but when something comes near my face, I get really scared.”
“It doesn’t hurt as much as you think, I know because I’ve gotten the surgery on my eyes,” said MC Shindong. “But you’ve had your eyes done too.”
“I just wanted to just get a slight fix to my lids, but when I came out of the operation room, I had cuts on them (to make double eye lids),” confessed Hyolyn.

It is really expensive, though, so yeah, wait till you have enough disposable income

Date: 2014-01-10 09:56 am (UTC)i had mine done in gangnam, seoul because they had renowned plastic surgeons in that area and catered to international customers well. i had a video conference about a month before, and my surgeon shared with me his opinion regarding what type of changes he would like to make to my nose. the next time i saw him was the day of my surgery, i had a face-to-face consultation with him in the morning, so he asked for my opinion but i pretty much just restated whatever he told me before (higher nose bridge, smaller base, implant) and i underwent the surgery a few hours later.
i'm very happy with my nose now, although it's still swollen and hasn't shrinked 100% yet! however, although many people have had rhinoplasties which didn't hurt in the slightest, mine was extremely painful for about 6 hours post-op and i fainted thrice in the matter of those hours. however, my recovery was smooth from then on :)

Date: 2014-01-10 12:22 pm (UTC)And I brought in photos of noses I like (lol) and my doctor told me what to expect, how it would look on me, etc. I had a very particular idea of what kind of nose I wanted but it doesn't seem like you do yet, so I would suggest asking family members/close friends what they think beforehand, maybe showing some photos (although for me it was useless b/c they all thought my old nose looked fine and I obviously disagreed).
The whole thing cost about $3000 but this was back in the 90s, so it might be more expensive now. The doctor didn't have to break the bone or anything so the surgery itself was nbd. I had a local anesthetic and was awake the whole time. I don't recall having very much pain and was amazed at how quickly I recovered. I had to travel to get it done, and was able to fly home in a few days. iirc the bandages came off in a couple of weeks. The change was subtle, but I could not get over how different my face looked. It was amazing.

anyways, if she wants plastic surgery, I'm glad she's discussing it. PS is this catch-22 garbage and I really hope that she's sure before she does it, if she does it. That being said, yeah, I don't think she needs it.

side note: are there any sistar subbing teams? i've been trying to find subbed episodes of when sistar and when hyorin were on YHY sketchbook and i can't find any!
