Love has no bounds, especially on a Korean romance drama. It has been announced that actor Yoo Ah In and actress Kim Hee Ae will act as lovers on the upcoming JTBC drama, “Secret Love Affair” (working title).

However, the most eye catching aspect of this drama is that the two lovers will play characters who are 20 years apart. “Secret Love Affair” follows the forbidden love of a composed woman in her 40s and a youthful man in his 20s.

Yoo Ah In will play a piano genius Lee Sun Jae. Despite his great talent and youthful spirit, the 20-something-year-old pianist will fall in love with a 40-something-year-old Oh Hye Won, played by Kim Hee Ae. Contrasting from Lee Sun Jae, Oh Hye Won is a calm, polished beauty who works as the planning leader at Seo Han Arts Foundation. She is known for her polite and behaved personality, as well as her excellent organizational skills.

Despite being busy assisting her boss in hiding secret documents, and simply being an outstanding worker, Oh Hye Won finds herself falling deeply in love with a man 20 years younger. The unpredictable love affair between two secret lovers is one to anticipate.

Most notably, Kim Hee Ae, who starred in tvN’s “Nunas over Flower,” will challenge a role that goes against her well known image as a calm and polished mother.

Secret Love Affair” will start broadcasting in March on JTBC.

He can't pick dramas, tbh (except SS)
But it's cable, so yay for sex scenes and normal-people kissing!

Yoo Ah In is in London rn, I wish I could somehow just bump into him on my way to school or something lol ;;

But this sounds interesting! I'll probably watch it whilst it's airing

Vaguely reminds me of Last Cinderella --it's Japanese--
A 39year-old lady and a 24year-old guy.

It was great!

Is that the Miura drama? I didn't watch it because he looks even younger that his age and I found it creepy.

Yes! it is the Miura drama. He looks his age to me. Most people between high school and university and other parts of their 20s look like they could be clumped together.

He looks great in Last Cinderella.

I really liked the Ryoko's character -Sakura- and the friendship between her and her best friends and was great.
The last two or three episodes were at times infuriating. And I hate the character Tachibana--his storyline developement was so unnecessary --

Yeah, it seems he looks more like his age in that series but sometimes he still looks 19-20 so idk. But it's true that many people in the 18-23 range can look similar.
I may watch it because they do look cute together but I have to admit that huge age gaps when one of the two is under 25 makes me feel slightly uncomfortable. I mean, I feel creepy when I find people under 23-24 hot/attractive and I'm in my late 20s so imagine if I had 40 :/

I'm younger than Miura, and usually people think I'm still in high school. So his age looked normal to me.
The premise of the show really does address the age gap well. Plus the circumstances for them getting together is also well done.

lol I'm 28 and people usually give me 22-24 and when I was his age people thought I was in high school as well. It's really hard to tell how old is someone in the 18-23/24 range because I know 18-20 y/o kids with a very mature look and 21-23 y/o people who still look like teenagers so yeah, it's difficult to tell.
I'll probably watch it because Miura is one of my favorite actors but I still feel kinda uncomfortable with the age gap ngl. I mean, if she was at least in her early 30s it wouldn't be that exaggerated but she's nearly 40 so that's almost a 2 0 y/o gap. At least is not like Risou no Musuko where there wasn't only a huge ass age difference (the boy was 18 and the mother was 42) but heavy hints of incest :/.

I see YAI is going to be noona bait for the rest of his career. YEAH! I always love cougar dramas (the female leads have actual personalities instead of stereotypical "she smiles because shes nice because she's a virgin because she's waiting for her prince...")

Kinda ot: I'm thinking of watching I need Romance 3 (also seems to be noona-centric, plus a rip of my fav noona drama: Foxy Lady), but I haven't seen the first 2 (my watch-later list is ridiculous). Should I marathon the franchise o just focus on season 3???

especially considering it's the writer of a wife's credentials, i think we can expect a complex female lead :').

uhhh you don't have to but if you have time before next week, sure, go for it. idk i think the first two seasons were flawed and i'm hoping this one will be a mash up of what was great about the first two and we'll leave the shitty stuff behind. the first two had a very similar set up, while this one seems like a mash up between dal ja's spring and what's up fox (basically my two fave noona romances).

considering the writer + pd's track record, this is pretty much gonna be amazing.

yoo ah in joins uaa, already lands a potentially fantastic role for him. you go, bb. you might finally be out of your drama slump.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh i'm so excited!!!

Don't care about Yoo Ah In but Yeahhh Kim Hee Ae! I love her on NOF and I don't remember which episode (I think 4?) but she was just complaining about how she wants do to comedies and stuff but she was told she couldn't break her image and she felt limited by expectations of who she's supposed to play. Aw I hope this is the type of things she was looking for.

All over this. LIKE SYRUP ON WAFFLES.

JTBC releases solid dramas (my fave being Padam, Padam) and I heard good things from this team about A Wife's Credentials. I should go watch that, I am always hearing rave reviews. The cast and premise already seem great and just something to get into. And honestly, who can't see Yoo Ah In romancing the pants off an older woman? LBR, here.
