Actor Lee Min Ho, who finished filming for the much hyped SBS drama “The Heirs,” opened up about Kim Bum and his romance in an interview.
Regarding Kim Bum’s relationship with actress Moon Geun Young, which was reported to have started after both filmed for the MBC drama “Goddess of Fire, Jung-Yi,” Lee Min Ho shared, “I had no idea.”
“Both Kim Bum and I were very busy with filming [our separate dramas] so we weren’t able to keep in contact. I congratulated him, and Kim Bum is quite the man. His romance style is similar to Kim Tan’s.”
Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum both rose to fame through KBS drama “Boys Before Flowers” in 2009, which quickly swept Korea up in a “flower boy” frenzy. Kim Bum played one of the four iconic flower boys So Yi Jung while Lee Min Ho played the group’s leader Gu Jun Pyo.

Date: 2014-01-07 05:57 pm (UTC)i understand the criticism and all but its funny bc people expected this drama to be on some new revolutionary level but they knew exactly who wrote it etc so idk why everyone had such high expectations. everyone just took it too seriously in my opinion and yes kim tan deserved the criticism but some people go way over board and ott tbh. there's also so many hypocritical people on this site (judging kim tan but completely fawning over young do like... bye)

Kim Bum was the only reason I kept watching BOF for as long as I did. Because as much as I adore LMH and KHJ...I could not stand their overly dramatic and nauseating love triangle with KHS -.-" Actually, I couldn't even stand their characters in the show on top of that OTL
But Kim Bum gave me so much feels! Ugh, oppa looked so adorable and gorgeous and unf! Kim Bum is perfection! *flails* The best thing about the drama was not only his lovely face but also his romance with KSE ;) Now that was where the actual chemistry was at. I'm so annoyed they never made a spin-off with those two to show what happened to them afterwards because they were my OTP *cries*

I liked parts of it...I think what was most upsetting is that there were a lot of interesting aspects that just never got air-time or room to grow and that the big obstacle the main couple had to face was solved so easily. Walked hand in hand to swanky party and that was literally it. That's drama whip-lash if there ever was one.
I am curious as to what people found so romantic about it in Korea. I mean I know 2013 was kind of a dry year for dramas but it wasn't THAT dry.
