Rainbow Announces Sexy New Unit Group Named Rainbow Blaxx

A new unit group is in the works! Idol group Rainbow has announced a new unit group called Rainbow Blaxx.

On January 3, a set of teaser images along with a message about this unit group was released. The message announced that one member of Rainbow Blaxx will be revealed per day starting from Monday, January 6 through various SNS accounts.

The teaser images show various parts of the female body such as the thighs, shoulders, bare stomach and legs in what seems like sexy black lingerie! The images foretell a very sexy concept that differs completely with Rainbow’s previous unit group, Rainbow Pixie. That sub unit released their single “Hoi Hoi” in January 2012 and featured members Seungah, Jisook and Hyunyoung.

they had good songs/concepts with A and mach and didnt really get much attention, then tried (shamelessly) going the orange caramel route w/ rainbow pixie and now they're doing this and will probably at best get overshadowed by girls day

That is how it's pronounced. The hangul is pronounced Black. I guess Blaxx is more distinctive visually though.

omg i feel defensive over jaekyung now. she's not amazing but she can hold her own and performs with enthusiasm. there are better singers who are out of breath live and/or you can barely hear them sing (just watched another girl's day - something performance. ugh sojin, man ¬_¬)

I'm both happy and conflicted with this.
On the one hand, ABOUT TIME RAINBOW GOT SOME ATTENTION. A, Mach and To Me were really good, they were not super popular but still known..., and then the group got completely forgotten. It's not fair. (Kara being close to an end is surely the reason behind this comeback) Plus I usually like "sexy concepts" because it means fierce upbeat song, and I know Rainbow already delivered.
On the other hand, I don't like the pictures just being some body parts. I think it's more about building anticipation before releasing the name but... Are the girls just bodies ? Seriously ?

Good! I thought they'd forgotten about the subunits since there wasn't another one between Rainbow Pixie and the full comeback earlier in 2013. I just hope it's a good single - Rainbow Syndrome had really good songs but I don't think they picked the right singles.
