Earlier in the day of December 11 (KST) , stories about a “A Pink and EXO‘s Game Conversation” began circulating online, becoming a hot issue as the conversation reportedly contained cursing. It started at a certain online community when a post was uploaded with an audio file and a message that said the audio was a recording of an inappropriate conversation between EXO and A Pink.  It was supposedly a conversation held between two EXO members and two A Pink members while playing a popular online game.

In the audio, according to No Cut News, EXO member Sehun‘s name turns up, as well A Pink member Bomi‘s name. The conversation is playful and casual, as the people in the audio heatedly play the online game. At the end of the audio, the people recorded notice that there is someone else in the chatting room, and as they show surprise, the recording ends.

The person who claims she released the audio, revealed on her blog that she had been watching EXO play the online game for some time. She said, “As soon as EXO started the game, they said, ‘Come to hiyibbeum-1212-tok.’ So I found the room, typed ’1212,’ and was able to get in.”

Both A Pink and EXO’s agency have responded to this controversy, releasing statements to various media outlets. A Pink’s agency, ACube Entertainment stated, “The female voices in the audio file circulating on the internet are not A Pink’s.” It elaborated, “A Pink members only play simple mobile games while they are traveling between schedules. They don’t play the online game at issue on the internet. They don’t even have contact with EXO.”

EXO’s agency, SM Entertainment, stated, “It seems a conversation held during a game between the [EXO] members and their acquaintances have been leaked.” It explained that the acquaintances are not celebrities, and added, “We currently don’t have a detailed response plan yet.”

i have not listened to the audio myself but apparently he said it with a bit of disgust, and now there's backup posts for it saying that it was mistranslated and he said "my fans" instead

He said "오센이라고 부르지마 팬들이나 오센이라고 하는거니까" and "팬들이나" means "the fans call me" so he never said anything about sasaengs. ngl at first i was pretty pissed about it especially because of the disgusted tone. i kinda jumped to conclusions and thought he was saying he hated it because fans call him that, but then I thought about it more.. People usually say stuff like that without meaning any harm to the person/people they're talking about. For instance if your mom has a weird nickname for you, you might say "ugh don't call me that, my mom calls me that." but you don't mean that you hate your mom, you just hate when the name is used. I feel like that's what he meant after going through all the drama on twitter and whatnot. People do get a bit out of control with hteir feelings when stuff like this happens, but you can't always expect people to be able to remain completely calm especially when there's a language barrier and a lot of the times there's very emotional fans. I hope sehun doesn't lose fans over it, but I also hope he didn't mean any harm to his fans.

I refuse to listen to the clip, not just because it's creepy, but because that's a serious invasion of privacy. The girl who posted it is most at fault, but choosing to listen to it is just as bad imo.

As for Sehun, idgaf about what he said. He probably wasn't thinking about what he said and got caught up with dealing with some stalkerish fan. And even if he did mean it, I'l still support EXO because I have no illusions about the relationship idols have with fans. They aren't required to like all of their fans, just like we aren't forced to buy their albums or go to their concerts.

imo sasaengs don't number that many for exo to hate all their fans. every once and awhile something sasaengy happens and it blows up (^^^), but honestly i don't think they make much of a dent especially since exo is likely trained to handle them in the first place. while it's true that a lot of exo fans are young + wild, there's definitely a lot of calmer/more mature fans (even kfans) that exo probably comes into contact with on a regular basis.

there's going to be a lot of fans on either side, and i think exo realizes that there's going to be a balance. like tao pointed out on weibo, they respect and appreciate the fans that love exo properly.
