MBC and KBS Ban Celebrities in Legal Trouble from Appearing on Broadcast

MBC and KBS has recently issued a ban against the celebrities who have recently broken the law.

MBC’s list includes Kim Yong Man, Lee Seung Yeon, Hyun Young, Park Shi Yeon and Jang Mi In Ae. Kim Yong Man was involved with illegal gambling while the other actresses were charged with propofol abuse. From now on these five celebrities will not be allowed to appear on any MBC program.

Additionally, KBS banned Lee Seung Yeon, Park Shi Yeon, Jang Mi In Ae, Go Young Wook and E-Sens from broadcast.

Go Young Wook was found guilty of sexually abusing a minor whereas E-Sens was involved in marijuana charges.

Other candidates on this list include Lee Soo Geun, Tak Jae Hoon, Tony An and comedian Song In Hwa. After these celebrities receive their final court hearing, KBS will be finalizing their list as well.

I though Kangin went to army after commiting a crime so he didn't apear on the tv anyway. Have he done something after coming back from army?

he did go into the army right after, he did his "reflection" that K netizens usually scream about....but he still gets hate from them. right now he is back with SJ, done a special radio thing with Heechul, and is filming a movie based on a very cute comic strip about a broken up couple coming together to bury the cat they owned together.

I don't get the need they have to ban people - can't they just not invite them on their shows/say no to them appearing if they ask? Not making excuses for the people mentioned but there are some ppl who've done illegal things, like Ju Ji Hoon, but he still recently got to be in an MBC drama.

If they can un-ban someone after they feel like enough time has passes, why have them banned in the first place?

I also feel that as long as the person in question have enough backing they can get around this banning, and that just makes this whole thing all the more unfair.
