Is this their name’s curse. Just like their team’s name means “endless”, INFINITE is going through schedules both domestically and overseas non stop. Even the day they had to film this pictorial on was the only barely free day they had during their world tour. Although they were here for their pictorial, I wanted them to relax and enjoy it like it was a vacation. That’s also the reason why the [pictorial’s] concept is drowsy winter sleep. They’re also wearing shirts and pants that are purposedly different from their magnificient stage outfits. They also got rid of the heavy strength in their eyes and shoulders and I managed to change their image into the image of seven simple men. [During the filming] They slept and closed their eyes so much I couldn’t even tell whether it was staged or they were really sleeping. Since all their poses were static I could tell the members felt awkward at first but they slowly got into the concept and started to truly enjoy the filming. The day after the pictorial filming. INFINITE left again for London. When this issue of gets released, they will have probably completed the European leg of their tour and will be getting ready for their last concert in Dubai. When asked “What is the first thing you are going to do after your world tour?” They all replied with one voice “We have to sleep”. Sleep is what growing kids need. “INFINITE good night~”

Maknae Sungjong blabbered while checking on his smartphone scheduler that looked packed. “Starting from Seoul, we held concerts in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and the Philippines. Then in the USA we performed in LA, San Jose, Washington DC and New York. The day after we came back to Korea we went to the MAMAs in Hong Kong. After today’s pictorial filming, we’re flying to London tomorrow. Then Paris and Dubai is our last concert.” Just listening to INFINITE’s schedule for the second half of the year feels like I’ve already played “Everyone’s Marble” a couple of times (T/N : Everyone’s Marble is a famous Korean smartphone game). I had a one-hour long talk with the members I haven’t seen in 9 months.



High Cut : You really are visiting a lot of places through your world tour. Which one left the biggest impression on you?
Sungjong : The concert in New York. While the fans were passionately cheering for us, over 100 people had to be evacuated but we were surprised by [the fans’] response and at the same time worried about their safety
Hoya : New York for me too. When I was younger I used to play a Michael Jackson DVD from one of his concerts and I was surprised to see similar scenes during our concert. The fans started queueing the day before the concert and waited all night so some of them fainted because they were out of energy. Seeing this I told myself “So this is the kind of things that can happen”. And the enthusiastic crowd was the one during our concert in Thailand.
Woohyun : In Thailand, the fans had prepared events for each member. When we did our solo stages, they had plancards [according to the member performing] and lightsticks as well.
Hoya : Usually, when we say funny things the fans laugh and when we say something that isn’t the response is weak but whatever we said, the response was always strong. Since it was the first place overseas we ever perfomed in I’ve always liked [Thailand] but now I like it even more.
Sunggyu : Even when I said “Honestly, I’m a bit sick today”, the crowd’s response was “Woah!!!”, it was this kind of atmostphere. It was really fun to perform there.

High Cut : Since you’re rumored to eat well, let’s talk about the meals you found the tastiest..
Hoya : I went to play around with Dongwoo, L and Sungyeol in San Francisco and I have to say it was the clam chowder I had at that time. It’s really unforgettable.
L : For me it’s the pepper crab and chili crab from Singapore.
Sunggyu : Ah, just thinking of it it’s tasty. If you ask the pepper crab’s sauce to be mixed to fried rice it’s really good. It was a recommendation from our guide and since they do it if you ask, I hope you’ll all get to try it at least once.
Sungjong : Dimsum ! It was really good. We really eat well wherever we go. We got to eat all~ the most famous meals in each country whenever we had the time to.
Woohyun : Everything we had was good but if I had to pick just one thing it’d be the Shack shack burger in New York. And the huoguo in China.
Sungyeol : I think it might be because I’ve ordered a lot to the room service so I really like steaks. The sauce is just-

High Cut : Who’s the most popular member among your fans overseas?
Sungjong : I think we’re all pretty much the same. Hm… Sunggyu hyung? If I think of it like that I think Sunggyu is popular in every country. Same for Hoya hyung.
Woohyun : I am the most popular overseas. No matter where I go I’m popular. I’m the best.
Sungjong : I want you to make sure to write this just like he said it.
Sunggyu : Sungjong is a prince in Japan. I think I’ll be the most popular in Europe and we’re going there tomorrow. I’m not particularly popular in the other countries so I hope at least in Europe…

High Cut : You must be sick of being in airplanes now
Hoya : We mastered our own ways to enjoy it. We joke around a lot together. When the plane is getting ready to take-off, [one of us] flips his seatmates’ seat and then tells on him to the cabine staff members. Of course we don’t actually do it when the plane takes off.
Sunggyu : The stewardesses really dislike this. (Laughs). Some of them are nice, some others
scold us. I hope they just think of this of our little game together.
Sungyeol : The ramyeon you eat on a plane are the best. I usually eat twice on the planes. I eat after taking off and whenever any of our seatmates are eating I eat again. Also the iced wine !
Woohyun : This is really good. I bought one bottle of wine on board and we drank it in our dorm.
L : I always make sure to sleep. I just sleep and don’t wake up. If we’re on a plane for 14 hours, I think I sleep for about 11.
Sunggyu : I thought he was an hibernating bear.
Dongwoo : I’ve watched four movies during a flight once. But how come the xxx company hasn’t their movies yet…
Hoya : Since I’m currently learning English I sometimes watch movies without subtitles. But if I start watching a movie in English like that I end up falling asleep in 30 minutes.
Woohyun : I watch Korean movies with English subtitles on to check if the translation is well done or not.

High Cut : When you were here you were all busy with your solo activities so you couldn’t see each other that often but now that you’re promoting overseas you’re always together. Has your love for your members grown?
Sungjong : We’re really close and know everything about each other to begin with so whether it’s in Korea or overseas we talk a lot and joke around a lot, it’s the same. It’s true that we’re travelling for a long time this time but there hasn’t been any trouble.
Sunggyu : We both travel and go sightseeing together. Since we’re creating memories while travelling together we’ve gotten closer. And I think that since we’re accomplishing something huge for us with this tour so it’s also extremely meaningful. Just the fact I’m doing this with my members makes it the most precious time of my life.
Woohyun : The only people who are always with me no matter where I go are my members. We’re all lucky to be able to go overseas this often.

High Cut : It has been three years and a half since you’ve debuted and honestly all the members are well-off now. Rank yourselves according to looks just by looking at your faces.
Woohyun : I am of course first place
Sungyeol : Ranking first here sounds more like you’re being picked as the ‘most well-off’
Sunggyu : L 1st place, Sungyeol 2nd place, Woohyun 3rd place, Sungjong 4th place, and I want to let my greed show starting from the 5th place but since my members are actually more handsome than I am, 5th place goes to Hoya, 6th Dongwoo and 7th me.
Dongwoo : We’re all almost the same. You can say we’re all the same when we grow older. If we get married and become fathers our kids will look the same.
L : I think we’re all 1st place
Sungyeol : You’re saying this when you know you’re 1st place. (Burst into laughter)
Sunggyu : I have admired L’s pictorials and told the members “He’s really handsome !” before. If I had to be born again I would like to have L’s face. But just his face !

High Cut : Sunggyu, you were really active in the first season of that aired on tvN and the lineup for the second one has recently been revealed. Since you’ve been with them before, what do you have to say about Hong Jinho and Lee Sangmin who are back for the second season? And who do you think is going to win the second season?
Sunggyu : (Hong) Jinho hyung is a player who’s really good alone so I don’t think I have to worry about him as long as he isn’t swept away in an influence game. However I’m really worried about Lee Sangmin sunbae. He’s porous. (T/N : As in, you can see through him) (Laughs). But Lee Sangmin sunbae is the type of person to do well when it comes to relations with people. I think it’s a good thing to be on his side. And in the season, I honestly think (Eun) Jiwon hyung is going to win. Eun Jiwon sunbae is extremely smart and loves games. I think he’s going to be a strong contestant for the first place.

High Cut : Hoya, you who starred in , it must feel new to watch
Hoya : Because I’m overseas so often, I couldn’t watch everything but I’ve seen the beginning. When it was announced Reply would come back with a second season a lot of people were worried but I think [1994] is much more interesting. Honestly last year when [Reply 1994] was airing I was asked who Sung Shiwon (Jung Eunji) was going to get married to. I couldn’t even say who it was even if I knew about it and I felt sorry. I think it’s probably the same for the current actors. I need to call the producers to tell them I’m watching it well.

High Cut : Sungyeol, you joined during the Maya episode, it must have been hard on you. I wonder how you felt when you were leaving.
Sungyeol : I absolutely wanted to go and join this program at least once because I’m a fan of it. Before leaving I was excited and happy but after leaving I realized it was actually way worse than what you see on TV. Each day without eating really felt like a year. But I listened to the hyungs well and did my best. After coming back I feel like I got more mature and also stronger.
Sunggyu : When he came back he looked totally different. He was all tanned and thin.
Sungyeol : Because I thought my weight would be too shabby I didn’t check it. (Laughs)

High Cut : L, the two photobooks you’ve released were both a “hit”. Did you get royalties from them? Recently you even worked with the worldwide photographer Ninagiwa Mika.
L : I’m supposed to get royalties but they still haven’t come back to me yet. (Laughs) I regularly take pictures while we’re on our world tour. I think the world tour is a good chance for me to take pictures of each country’s landmark and monuments. In New York, I got to take pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge and of Manhattan. If I get the chance to I’m planning to release my third photo essay. I think it might come out next year during the first half of the year. Besides, Ninagawa Mika’s pictures have lots of strong and provocative colors to them. I was really happy because working with him was a totally different challenge for me. If I get the chance to I would like to work on [one of our] album’s jacket.

High Cut : Woohyun, Sungjong and Dongwoo, you didn’t have many solo activities so what were you up to?
Sungjong : It’s not that I didn’t have many solo activities, I didn’t have any. I’ve decided to learn a bunch of things while resting. I also went to a lot of coffee shops, read books and received vocal lessons.
Woohyun : I had no solo activities at all. (Laughs). I kept on learning about song composing and rested at home
Dongwoo : I dedicated this time to my hobbies. Since I like moving around I did some skateboard and also went to eat in my family’s restaurant.

High Cut : How does it feel to know your long-run world tour will be over after your concert in Dubai?
Woohyun : I feel like all of this happened in the blink of an eye. It was so fast I’m asking myself, did we really hold concerts?
Hoya : It feels like we’ve started touring only a few days ago but we actually started in August.
Sungyeol : I feel like we’re going to feel empty when it’s over. We’ll feel like we absolutely have to leave overseas right away.
Hoya : I’d rather be busy when it’s over. We’re a group that usually performs a lot. So when we come back to our dorm after concerts it feels empty. We haven’t really had the time to feel that way since we’re not resting during the world tour.
Woohyun : If this feeling [of emptiness] is too severe we’ll feel depressed.
Sunggyu : After completing concerts it really feels like we’ve lost the path of our lives. So when the [world] tour ends, we’re planning to open a clinic among the members, seek a room and go on vacation. Let’s go to the gamja tang restaurant in front of the dorm ! (T/N : “gamja tang” is a potato and pork rib broth)

High Cut : The end of the year is just around the corner, do you have any plans for a Christmas or a year-end party?
Sungjong : The Dubai concert ends on December 6th. We won’t be able to go sightseeing and go back to Korea right away because we need to get ready for the year-end shows and award ceremonies.
Sungyeol : We’ve really never had the time to play around for Christmas and the end of the year. We just get ready for the end of the year while eating ddukbokki in the practice room and that’s all.
Sunggyu : When we were trainees our CEO came to the practice room for Christmas for the first time and bought us ddukbokki. That must be why we always end up having some every year.
L : Ah, now that we’re talking about ddukbokki I want some.
Hoya : Now that I think of our trainee days I remember when we secretly held a Christmas party on Christmas Eve with our fellow trainee dongsaengs on the rooftop.
Woohyun : I feel like this year we should have a little party while getting ready for the year-end ceremonies. We’re a performance group so shouldn’t we try new things all the time?

High Cut : Since the new year is coming soon, make a wish.
Woohyun : To not be negative. And always be positive.
Sungyeol : I hope everything I do will go well.
Sunggyu : Not lose my path. Whether it’s the one in my heart or the real one. And always go back home.
Sungjong : I wish to start over, let’s start again in a new way.
Dongwoo : I just want to be healthy.
L : I should make efforts to wear other than black clothes. (Laughs). I hope INFINITE’s next album is a success.
Hoya : I want to improve in a way that’ll make me satisfied of myself.

High Cut : What’s your album or promotion plans for next year?
Woohyun : We’re planning to come back in the first half of the year. We have lots of songs that are already ready. We’re considering solo promotions too but aren’t the group ones more important? I’m actually not too sure myself
Sunggyu : Since we can’t guess what the future is made of, we don’t know what any of us will end up doing. (Laughs)
Hoya : We also find out about things through rumors. It has happened to us that sometimes we don’t even know anything and our hair and makeup staffs come to us and are like “You guys are having a comeback?”
Sunggyu : After the world tour ends, we’re planning to hold an encore concert in Korea. We have to make sure it ends well.

High Cut : You’re a group that receives a lot of love from their fans so to conclude, please send them a year-end message
Sunggyu : I’ve spent a meaningful year. Because I was able to go on a world tour I’ve dreamt of ever since I was a trainee, it’s something I won’t ever be able to forget. I hope our fans and all the people who love our music will remember 2013 as a good year. Thank you and please be healthy. I hope you won’t lose the path of your hearts.
Hoya : Since after August we were only overseas we couldn’t meet our Korean fans a lot but please wait for us a little bit more because we’ll see each other again during the year-end concerts and when we release our new album in the first half of next year.
Sungyeol : Since we’re working hard to run towards our goal, I hope that next year will become a year during which our fans get to fulfill their dreams. I love you~.

Its a pity director's are only focused on looks because I have a feeling Sungyeol, Hoya and maybe even Sungjong could bdo really well in dramas. L tries bless his osul btu he's so stiff.
