This is totally true. Apparently the writer had her eye on Jung Woo since his movie Wish. I am sure she wrote Trash specifically with him in mind. The whole relationship between Najung and Trash was just tested by the writer in the first airing of the show and based on the audience response they went with it. If it failed this show would have been a sitcom. I feel like Najung now is just being written as only a love interest because Trash is the beloved character. Chilbong was probably created because he is the perfect foil to Trash.
I know it's ruined my life too. I can't really find myself caring about their relationship since the only one I care about is Chilbong. I have a strong feeling that Najung and Trash will break up sometime due to some misunderstandings. But I will never forgive the writer if Chilbong plays the rebound guy later.
and i love trash and jung woo, but this is not what i signed up for, i signed up for a drama about a group of friends being fish out of water in seoul and whose leader character is a spunky fangirl and they ruined it as it became the trash show. najung whent from a main character to a plot point.
This show was not advertised and marketed correctly. Who ever told Yoo Yeon Seok he was a lead lied. And Najung is clearly not who they said she was going to be. I don't really have much hopes left. I like Jung Woo too but I wish others got to do things too.
yes with the fangirl thing, what the hell happened with Najung and her love of basketball and that player... what a mess. Ahra deserves better, she's acting the hell out of this bland character.
seriously, it's not that i'm unhappy with the recognition the others, but i'm mad that ahra is being ignored by everyone, even the writers.
i mean, for example, i adore dohee and she is doing a pretty good job on her debut as an actress, but she is not as amazing as netizens are her hyping to be (tbh that makes me worried for her because those things often don't finish well), and she seems to have more screen time and recognition than ahra, who without a doubt acts better than her.
I completely agree, I hope that the success of this drama at least has her get more lead roles in dramas that will showcase her talent better. I love having her on my screen every week.
