i could be wrong, but it seems like this comeback more and more people are judging her or saying crap about every little thing she does. usually i see hyorin as confident. she doesn't take crap, she's not afraid to make fun of herself and she seems as if she cares for her fans and her craft. [as i said, i don't know her personally, so i could be wrong]

i believe hyorin does have a point. i'm not saying that it's right, but it's a valid statement, no matter where you go.

But sadly in Korea most of that doesn't matter to many men (not all, of course, but many). Education? Why does a woman need education when her husband expects her to stay at home, do the housework and bring up their children whilst he works? Women with good jobs are threatening to men. Why does a woman need a support network when she isn't supposed to have a life outside of the home? Why does she need to be involved in society? Her purpose is to live for her husband and their children.

Of course to us, all of those things are extremely important and definitely more important than beauty, but in Korea women are often basically trophy wives who stay at home all day and do their husband's bidding. They need to get out of this old-fashioned mindset first before things will change regarding beauty and come around to the things that are important.

Not getting why people are coming at the netizens for their comments. All of them with the exception of #3 (although he too has a point; if I were rich I wouldn't date gold diggers either) are right. The vast majority of people in the world will judge you based on your looks, especially women, so if a woman is naturally pretty she is indeed blessed. And if she's not then she can become pretty through ps. I find it so weird that people can't reckon this when we have so many pretty and talentless women out there outshining people with real talents, and this is especially true for SK.

I don't think this statement contains much truth anymore. It definitely is still present but there are plenty of talented women who aren't considered to be beautiful who have gone much farther than talentless people who only rely on their beauty. living off of beauty alone will only take you so far. If you need other things besides beauty to take you far or farther then the statement that "if women are pretty then they have everything" really doesn't hold much truth. I am not denying that if a women is beautiful she is given the upper hand, i just don't agree that it is THAT important.
