BOM, “I don’t even go near YG cafeteria”: But why?

2NE1’s BOM mentioned the cafeteria at YG’s head office.

On Dec 5, 2NE1 appeared as guest artists on SBS’s Radio Power FM Choi Hwa-jung’s Power Time. On the day, DJ Choi Hwa-jung asked the girl group members, “Isn’t YG cafeteria famous for serving delicious food?”

And 2NE1 members all agreed, “Yes, it’s true. It’s really yummy.” And BOM continued, “But I don’t even go near that place because I’m on a diet,” making everyone burst out in laughter.

When asked if CL has a boyfriend, she answered, “I don’t have one. And I don’t have any guys contacting me at all. Guys are intimidated by me and they find it difficult to approach me.”

Every time this woman opens her mouth something incredibly narcissistic/egocentric/self centered and annoying comes out, she is so full of herself i can't... and i don't even know where her gigantic ego comes from since everyone and their grandmas can beat 2ne1 these days and her solo effort was not a big thing at all.

From the lil' I know of korean society it's probably true though
She has a very strong image that can be scary not to mention that she is watched 24/7

You clearly don't pay attention to CL, i've read all of her interviews and everything she has ever said after debuting in 2NE1 and she's the farthest thing from being narcissistic/egocentric/self centered. The girl says shit like how when people call her ugly "i think it's okay because i'm pretty on the general scale", says she's a novice singer and how 2NE1 and her are like rookies. She even thinks they aren't popular in Korea.

It's funny though, you had no problems when Bom said the exact same thing about guys not approaching her because they're intimidated, which shows you don't have a problem with what CL says but CL herself.

CL is just saying guys don't approach her and it's true, i remember Shindong on a radio show saying how he talked to CL on mama 2011 and she was nice and he was shocked that she was nice because he didn't think she was because of her image. It's interesting how people who don't follow CL closely enough feel like they know her at all.

Except that CL is straightforward and speaks openly and stands up for herself, which is not a desirable trait for a majority of korean men. Most korean men prefer soft-spoken women who are quiet and non-confrontational. CL isn't being egotistical. She really does mean it when she says men are afraid of her. It's a real thing in korean culture that outspoken girls find it difficult to date. They usually have to tone them selves down, which is unfortunate.

I am honestly surprised by the whole CL is self centered comments. I thought it was common knowledge that just like GD she has a strong confident onstage/celebrity persona and that in her private life shes extremely humble and maybe a bit shy.

it's also interesting that the diet continues even now...."diets" are short-term by natures but Bom is literally always on one, and she always complains she hates it. I can't even imagine how stressful that would get to be after so many years.....
