At 'Prime Minister and I' press conference on December 4th, Yoon Si Yoon talked about his addiction in reading books.

When he was asked,"Yoon Si Yoon is known as a person who reads many books, to prepare for this drama what kind of books have you read?", he answered,"I study about young politicians. But because of the filming schedule so I haven't read much, I usually read during my break time"

He also added,"I love reading, it makes me relax. I think I'm addicted to it. If I don't have anything to read I will feel agitated. So that's why I have a bad eyesight".

His co-actors also impressed with his habit. Ryu Jin said,"Even on filming set he read many books. This is the first time I saw someone like him. He also knows by heart all of his lines in the script. It seems he read the script at least 100 times, he takes notes on every little details"

Chae Jung Ahn said,"If other men are addicted to drinking, smoking and coffee, then Yoon Si Yoon is addicted to reading books"

In addition, "Prime Minister and I" will be aired on December 9th on KBS2.

I'm currently reading Angels and Demons... Yeah, yeah, I probably get that WHAT YOU JUST STARTED READING IT thingy from everyone but yeah... I got it for my birthday present and everyone's pushing me to read it. I've watched the movie six times already but just started the book. I love it so much! Just a bit weirded out how the movie's damn different from the book.

My all-time fav book is Sophie's World! What about you guys? :D Share your favs with me! :D

My study notes. Yipee.

However, rather than studying on my hour long bus rides to and from campus, I got the time to reread Ender's Game and also read the (kind of) sequel Ender In Exile. Seeing the movie reminded me of how much I love the series, so much that I decided to finally read the sequel, which has then made me adamant to reading Bean's story and all the others. While I wait to receive these books, I'm rereading The Outsiders and We Need To Talk About Kevin.

We Need to Talk About Kevin is on my To Read list. I watched the movie and thought it was very interesting. What did you think of the book?

OP thank you for making a Shi Yoon post!! I think it's so endearing that reading is his hobby! He is flawless!

As for what I'm reading, I'm waiting for my semester to finish up before I start anything new. I have a few books downloaded, but I think the next one on my list to read was "North and South". The last book I finished reading was "Little Women". It was my first time reading it and I LOVED it! I'm kind of tempted just to re-read it!

I love that he is a book worm. :D

I got an e-reader for my birthday in April and I think I actually have been reading non-stop since. I feel like I am back in my element because I had stopped reading for a long time. I think I was just in a big slump. Sad days, yo.

Right now I'm reading A Dance with Dragons. And then I will have to wait for the rest of the Song and Ice and Fire series like everyone else. Not looking forward to it, lol. But afterwards, I think I am either going to read The Tale of Genji or Yukio Mishima's Sea of Fertility series. I am in the mood for Japanese literature. I also have a copy of Catcher in the Rye I want to read as well as I've never read it except for part of the first chapter once in high school (it was laying on a desk and I read a bit before class started).

Fangirl?? I've read it's pretty good, too. Rave reviews on goodreads, lol.

I loved it. Enough that I'm rereading it. The movie, surprisingly, doesn't do it justice. The book is just way more complex than what the movie showed. The movie captured the essence, but SO much of the psychological part was just missed.

The book was... difficult. I read fairly often and usually I have no problems getting at least most of what was meant to be conveyed. However, I finished this book... confused. About Kevin, specifically. I can understand all of the other characters, except for the one that was the whole point of the book. Maybe if I was smarter, I would understand why, or if I had taken that psychology course I would have been able to analyse Kevin better. I just... couldn't.

Of course, WNTTAK was an assigned book for my English class, and at the time I was on a schedule and just needed to get it done in time to write the essay. I want to reread to see if I can pick up the small details now that I know the big picture and what's happening next. It's incredibly fascinating and just compelling, if you can get past the first few (boring) chapters. It really made me think. I reccomend it to everyone.

(And so yes I apparently have strong feelings about this book since I feel like I could have written a better essay about it than I did in high school.)

I heard that the GoT books get worse later on - if that's true I may not want to read it and will stick to the (inaccurate) show.

Last book I completed was a terrible and yet highly addictive super girly book called "Crash Into You" by Katie McGarry. It is probably one of the best "bad" teen lits I've read. actually it's the third of a series and i read them all i dunno why urgh i actually really like her writing okay urgh.

Last novel I read was Vladimir Nabokov's "Laughter in the Dark", one of his precursors to "Lolita". Very very good.

Lol, so perfect though! Thank you!! I will bump it up on my list. I always have a hard time deciding what to read next. I just try not to go for the same genre too many times in a row, lol.

I don't think so! The first one took me a while! A month and some (I usually read in less time than that) but by the end I was very into the story and the characters. The story takes a dive in the fourth book because the author kind of took a different approach with it by switching things up. There were some interesting moments but it was definitely slower going than the first three. I am speeding through the fifth one right now, though so it's picked up again in my opinion. It's one of those stories that take it's time to build stuff up and they are lengthy so I guess it's not for everyone, lol. But I really enjoy them!

The third one, Storm of Swords, is far and away the best of the series, it's just flawless <33. The fourth one isn't great tbh, but I actually reeeeeally enjoyed the 5th one, Dance with Dragons.

the print is so tiny that i don't even want to start. and i feel hopeless w/ my ereader. but waiting for every season of GoT makes me hurt almost as much as waiting for Sherlock does

Haha, I totally understand. Fanfiction is notorious for being ridiculous sometimes, so I think I laughed too.

Yeah, I was thinking about how invested I would (inevitably) get with the characters, and what the payoff would be. When I get latched on (as I have through the show), I rarely let go no matter how bad it gets. Seems like the first one is the real test, huh? Maybe I'll read it just before the next season airs.

I agree about Storm of Swords! Thaaat ending. Ooooooh maaaaan. When it ended, I was sooo shocked. Partly because of what happened and literally because it was over, lmao.

it's a cheap knockoff that is not as satisfactory as reading from a real book. sadly, the books i read are long and so i must resort to my terrible ereader in order to save the battery on my phone

will never be over it tbh, the show better do it fucking justice or I will RAAAAGE, but unlike a lot of people, i've been really thrilled with the HBO adaptation, so I have faith :)

I think Shiyoon reading is so super attractive, especially because reading is so rare in Korea. He's basically super precious, and I want to marry him <3.

I mostly read scifi/fantasy and YA. Right now, I'm reading "The Golem and the Jinni" It's definitely something fresh and new in my opinion!
