SISTAR’s Hyolyn was Edited Out Every Time She Admitted to Plastic Surgery

Not really caring what people say about her, SISTAR’s Hyolyn confidently admitted to getting double eyelid surgery.

On December 4’s broadcast of MBC’s Radio Star, Hyolyn brought up the topic of plastic surgery, which she mentioned during her last visit to the show.

However, Hyolyn said that the episode was edited out to make it seem like she was denying plastic surgery rumors.

“I also went on a different show before Radio Star and truthfully talked about my double eyelid surgery, but even then, it was all edited out,” said Hyolyn. “Now people are saying that I’m admitting it now because there are proof pictures.”

Hyolyn talked about how frustrated she felt when she’s been telling the truth the entire time.

Kyuhyun then joked saying they’ll be editing this conversation out as well.

Double eyelid surgery is hardly considered a big deal tho considering how easy it is to tell if someoens had it done. Even Kyuhyun's admitted to it publicly.

okay, so uee's dad has single eyelids, while her mother has very small and delicate, but natural double eyelids. during her childhood she was always sad that she got her dad's eyes and not her mom's and after many years, when she was a high school student, she finally convinced her parents of letting her get her eyes done. so her mother takes her to a drand uee tells him her story and says if possible she want her eyes to look as similar as her mom's, even knowing it is hard because they are natural. the dr looked at uee's mom and said "it's been over 20 years since you got your eyes done, right? i think it is time for you to get it touched up." outing her mom lmao.

lmao i know, her mother lied to her all that time! not even her dad knew it! is why i love that story and turned from a uee fan to a stan, her telling it is even funnier and it was right after her debut (people were trying to claim she was ps free and he wasn't having any of it).

my skin tone is pretty much the same as hers, and girl was insane for going with that shade, it blends in with her skin.

but in a way i also don't hold it against her, as i find it very diffucult to find colors that work on me.

I assume nearly every Korean (or East Asian, in general) celeb has had some sort of work done. Nose jobs are easy to spot, in my opinion. It's pretty easy to tell if someone has had their lids done, too, especially when they go for the really large creases, but not always. Admitting to blepharoplasty isn't really a major confession to make, seeing that it's such a common procedure. Anyway, who here is genuinely surprised? No one.

i get when people who have single eyelids get double eyelid surgery, but i don't understand when people who already had double eyelids get another double eyelid surgery. it's to deepen the crease, but imo it's so unnecessary and it doesn't change the appearance much. noticed it with krystal, jieun and go ara

I remember reading awhile ago that Go Ara may have had it done because her original eyelid creases were uneven? I could be misremembering that information, though. I'm looking at an old photo of her's and I think she just wanted to go for the open-cut look because it makes the eyes appear even bigger, I guess. I don't get it either. But...the procedure I really, really don't get (and I'm not sure how common it is) would be the 'aegyosal (eye bag)' surgery? It looks so unnatural...and to be completely honest, terrible. I don't know if Seohyun's are natural or not, but they are distracting.

The quote I posted wasn't from a tv show tho. It was from Korean GQ Magazine in 2011. Based off this article, she was talking about her last appearance on Radio Star, which I assume was after the GQ interview.

Maybe when she went on radio star the last time she was trying to clear it up and the edit came out the same as it was in the mag. Who knows

I've never seen the big obsession with knowing whether or not an idol has had plastic surgery. They're all grown adults, let them do what they want. Whether or not you know it isn't important and quite frankly it's none of the public's business unless the person in question decides to speak up about it.

If plastic surgery is so widespread in Korea then why is it so surprising/frowned upon when an idol gets work done? If it's a common occurrence for teens of graduation age to get it done then why would it be any different for the celebrities?

If someone wants to get plastic surgery that's their personal choice to do what they feel they need to in order to make themselves happy.

I still don't get why kpop celebs lie about plastic surgery, when, if there is 1 thing you should know about SK, it's that plastic surgery is like a walk in and walk out I'm going shopping type thing. There's no point to denying it, we're not stupid especially since it's kind of obvious.
