Girls’ Generation Reveals ‘Blade & Soul’ OST at Release Party in Shanghai

On November 30th, Girls’ Generation revealed the OST for “Blade & Soul” at a release party held in Shanghai. Girls’ Generation performed the Mandarin song live at the event and also sat down for an interview, during which they explained that they hope to have more activities in China in the future and that “Blade & Soul” is a popular game in Korea. A lottery event was also held, where Girls’ Generation chose five numbers, and those holding the numbers received prizes.

the song is super catchy and cute but the choreography is lazy as fuck and the girls look more exhausted than ever, they seriously need to rest :|

man i can't decide if the chorus is irritating or catchy. it gets better as it goes along though. i think it like it?

i think flyers sounds cute tbh, very jpop and similar to way to go (a secret fave of mine). didn't hear enough of blue jeans to judge.

If they do a lot of promoting there, I hope considering Hyo is the only one that speaks fluent Chinese, she'll get a lot of spotlight. BUT I'D RATHER THEY JUST HAD A BREAK TBH, I feel really sorry for them, they deserve a rest.

omg it's so catchy, i rly like it :'). taeyeon's ad libs damn girl. someone needs to a) stop giving tiffany ad libs she can't do (bb also sounds like she's straining her voice) and pls stop making her rap. i miss the days where soshi songs didn't have rap sections tbh.

it would be gr8 if they could promote in china properly if sm actually organised themselves instead of slotting it nto the billions of other things they have to do. they do look absolutely worn out :( idk how yoona can still do all this stuff while filming her drama, jesus she must be exhausted.

i don't see a chance in hell of them promoting in china properly, sm already has enough trouble managing snsd and sjjd activities. if they wanted, maybe a sub-unit could do it (hyoyeon since she knows mandarin to some extent, jessica because she's apparently learning some; hyosic would be kind of awesome, maybe throw sunny in there too?), but i can't see all nine of them going to china.

I knew Seohyun would be giving it her 6000%, I kind of sort of assumed that Hyoyeon would care a tad more than the others because she also actually speaks some Mandarin, but I only saw the video once from a weird side-angle, IDK. Seohyun's basically the only one that can be counted on to actually put effort forth now.

Hyoyeon hasn't really showcased her Mandarin skills yet so I won't assume that she's well versed to the language but I guess they're just really tired and they only probably practiced once when they were seen in SM. Even Yuri who is best live performer and Fany the fanservice queen aren't their usual selves

Seohyun supposedly grew up + learned some Mandarin along the way too. Apparently some variety show had a segment where they didn't let her play with/against her unnies because she knew too much of each Korean/English/Japanese/Mandarin and it wouldn't have been fair. IDK, I heard all of that from other fans after I said Hyoyeon was the only one who knew Mandarin.

Basically, Seohyun is Seohyun and probably knows at least a little Mandarin too.

maybe the reason why sm is pushing them so many projects this year is because gg's contract would expire next year and there isn't a 100% assurance everyone would stay as 9.

I knew that they were lip-synching in this performance! It's hard to talk about it because most of SONE I know defending the girls like crazy saying that they sang live or whatever. And the dance... the girls really need a long break.

But sigh, I agree with everyone else that the girls seriously need a rest. But with the release of their Third Japanese Album, a Korean comeback, 3rd Japan Tour, a still ongoing World Tour and the amount of events & appearances they attend as a group and as individual, as well as their individual schedules (Yoona has her drama, Seohyun her musical, Tiffany has Fashion King and so on) they probably won't be resting for a while. It breaks my heart seeing them like this.

As much as I love seeing them perform and such, I rather see them take a long break to some luxurious and secluded island then watching them being this close to fainting on the spot.
