Forever waiting for a Seulong solo

The mini sounds very 2AM, it's like when an actor is typecast for roles, I feel like 2AM is typecast(for lack of a better word) for songs. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. They have a distinct sound, that I love ♥

Really? I beg to differ since everytime I tried to watch their performances, I thought they sound kind of horrible since they always failed to hit those high notes in their songs cause lets be real its hard to sing 2AM's songs if you dont have good singing skills & technique. I'm saying this as a fan since I own their CDs and stuffs that's why I only stick to listening to their songs instead of watching their lives...

Jinwoon and Seulong used to have stability issues around the time they debuted, definitely, but there's been an incredible amount of improvement -- the only semi recent performances I can think of in which I found them off was Nagging (which was stupidly out of Seulong's range from the start) and that embarrassing top model performance thing where they got Jinwoon to sing Seulong's parts -- which again was more of a range issue. I don't think I remember hearing Changmin not be on point (just sometimes screechier than necessary). The only person who's had really noticeable difficulty with actual 2AM songs, I think, is Kwon (his range is tiny enough as it is, I don't understand why BSK consistently writes his parts only in the top half of it or higher), it was always touch and go whether he was going to hit those high notes in I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me and One Spring Day.

But having seen them live a few times - sure, there's the occasional fuck-up, but I guess personally it's never been enough to take me out of the moment. They sound eerily flawless 95% of the time.

I really need to give their lives a try again tbh. Because I did before and I was disappointed many times. I mean, I love their songs and I was hoping them to sing the same range as in the live version but everytime I tried, it didn't live up to my expectation (to be as good as CD version).

I agree with you about Kwonnie. I actually love his voice the most out of the four of them (since he always get the best part of the songs imo) but the live version is totally different. I didnt get the same kind of feels I did when I hear him sing based on the CD recording. But since you, the original OP, and the comment below me said their lives are amazing, I'm gonna give it a try again. Thanks! ^^;
