Minho from shining SHINee invites everybody to filming site

This is the filming site of MBC’s drama series ‘Medical Top Team’.

Min-ho, who is busy promoting SHINee’s new mini album "Everybody,” became Kim Seong-woo, a third-year resident in the thoracic surgery department of Gwanghye Hospital. Min-ho is a versatile artist who is good at singing, dancing, and rapping while giving off great charisma on stage. In ‘Medical Top Team’, he plays a character with good manners and common sense who joins the top team. In the drama, he has a secret crush on Choi Ah-jin (Oh Yeon-seo) and he romantically hovers around her as her guardian angel. Even though he is tired due to his tight schedules for charisma and romance, Min-ho never loses a smile. Let us meet the shining Min-ho at the filming site of ‘Medical Top Team.’


Flaming Charisma Min-ho



Min-ho’s flaming charisma is found in the drama as well. Min-ho filmed his scenes in a serious attitude with his own glaring eyes with Kwon Sang-woo and Oh Yeon-seo. Min-ho sometimes looked engrossed in many thoughts with his arms crossed. Min-ho was very serious. Min-ho is very determined to do well since he plays a doctor and an adult role in ‘Medical Top Team’ for the first time. In the press briefing of ‘Medical Top Team’ held on October 24, he said, “I may look young, but I will try hard to look like a mature resident. I am learning a lot through the drama filming.”


Min-ho is studying!



Min-ho was busy preparing for his next scene. He checked his script even during a break time. He has already experienced a short drama and SBS’s drama series ‘To the Beautiful You’. However, a medical drama is a challenging genre where he should easily use complicated medical terms and play his character in a more sensitive way. His sudden image change into a doctor in ‘Medical Top Team’ from a high school student in ‘To the Beautiful You’ is unfamiliar. Min-ho, however, is playing his own mature Kim Seong-woo. In the drama, Kim Seong-woo is a cute guy who makes a lunchbox for his love while he shows serious eyes once he enters a surgery room. The secret behind Min-ho’s charismatic and sweet acting was study into his script.


Min-ho acts cute



When the camera is on, Min-ho becomes a serious doctor. As soon as the camera is off, he changes into a cute boy. He sometimes takes a hilarious pose or acts cute in cute poses. He showed a V finger sign toward the camera in his spare time. Actress Jung Ryeo-won openly complimented Min-ho by saying, “I like Min-ho. He acts cute frequently.” In the group photo of ‘Medical Top Team’, the youngest Min-ho and Oh Yeon-seo acted cute by showing a flower-cup pose.


Min-ho is the life of the party



Min-ho serves as the life of the party as well. The atmosphere is very important for a medical drama since there are many scenes where several actors show up together. Particularly, for surgery scenes, it takes about three or four days to complete filming. Even they their faces are not shown, the actors stay at the filming site for a good teamwork. It is hard, but it is the moment when the teamwork matters most. Actors smiling in a surgery gown while sitting side by side demonstrates the joyful and fun atmosphere. Min-ho, who is making a big smile in the center, is most outstanding. It is said that Min-ho received an undivided love from staff members and the other actors.

Min-ho debuted as a member of the idol boy band SHINee. He is now building his acting career as a supporting actor of a medical drama. He scored himself one point out of 10, thinking of himself in SBS’s drama series ‘To the Beautiful You’, which is his first work where he took the lead role. He has already achieved the humble goal of “improving by 0.5 points through ‘Medical Top Team’.”

how is this drama? i only saw the first episode and i thought it was boring. there are these days a lot of medical dramas in korea but this one seemed to have nothing to make it stand out (for example, compare it to good doctor), so i'm not surprised the ratings are awful

Just like any other Korean medical drama... even Good Doctor was too cliché and "the same bs I've already seen 3292382 times" for my taste. I watched all of it though, and I'm past ep 10 on this one. I mean, if you enjoy dramas that don't center on romance and just slice of life this one will be ok, but there's nothing special about it -shrug- I think if I'm honest... I'm just watching it for Minho. When he's super tired one of his eyes becomes so much more noticeably smaller than the other and that's kinda endearing. Ok, I'm weird. But TTBY was also boring and I watched it for Minho too so I'm not gonna quit now. There's even one ep of Minho dressed as a highschooler and that was cute.

he can't really act but he is very very cute, has a tender heart and loves his members the most! minho doesn't like losing but loves bickering with key and jjong. and soccer, minho loves soccer! it's ridiculously cute.
minho can be funny if he wants to and has really improved his variety sense since lucifer era! his acting got better through 'to the beautiful you' and now 'medical topteam'! he dances with his very own and utmost passion and sings with all his heart (if he is allowed to sing :'(...). yes he writes his own raps. it may not be super gangsta and real but he gives it his all! his flaming charisma will burn down your panties to ashes! 8)

Minho is a fine example how a good upbringing can do wonder to your personality as a whole. He put out this tough, hate to lose persona as his image but he is truly a gentlemen bts. Just by looking the way he dressed you can know what kind of person he is inside! ^^ I love how he dotes on Taemin but he really need to cut down all the mean comments to him. XD;;
