Lee Jun Ki Rumored to be Joining “1N2D,” But Agency Remains Quiet

Actor Lee Jun Ki’s is the subject of discussion as the possible new member of “1 Night, 2 Days Season 3” a.k.a. “1N2D.”

A representative of KBS 2TV’s “Happy Sunday – 1 Night, 2 Days” stated on a phone interview, “The new member for ‘1D2N’ has been confirmed, but I cannot confirmed the new member is Lee Jun Ki.”

In connection to the rumors, a representative of Lee Jun Ki’s agency, IMX, responded carefully saying, “It is true that Lee Jun Ki received an offered to be a member of ‘1D2N.’ However, nothing has been confirmed.”

The cast of “1N2D Season 3” consists of existing members Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Jong Min as well as new recruits, Kim Joo Hyuk, Jung Joon Young, and Defconn. The mention of Lee Jun Ki joining the cast is attracting attention as it arouses the curiosity of what kind of chemistry the cast will create. It was also reported that Choi Minho of SHINee and John Park will not be a part of that show, and that Kang Ho Dong was asked but it does not seem likely that he we come back.

Meanwhile, “1N2D Season 3” will begin filming on November 22 in Inje, Gangwon-do. The season premier is scheduled for December 1.

I loved the cast of Season 2 and I'm still super sad about the members leaving but I really want to see Joonyoung on the show. I love 1N2D so I just hope the cast is as good as S2. No to Defconn tho

I don't get why people are so against him joining? At least fans get to see him once every week, and know more about his personality. Seriously, I don't get the 1N2D hate. They already mentioned Season 3 is getting Yoo PD, it's not the current S2 PD anymore. I wish KBS could change its name just 'cos the show could stop getting unnecessary hate.

People don't necessarily hate the show, it's just that it's a sinking ship, I guess some are baffled as to why he'd join a show with ratings that have been steadily dropping for the last couple of months or even before Kang Hodong left.

Because it's not funny? And if he joins I'll have to force myself to watch it again when I was finally able to drop it after having watched it for 6 years. Watching it now actually makes me angry and sad. Maybe New-New PD will improve it but I'm not holding my breath.

Really? I still think it's pretty funny and I appreciate the members' hard work despite the low viewership/reviews. If you've seen Season 1, you would know new-new PD aka Yoo PD is one of 'known' staff. Though they said they will change the show's format, he's familiar with the old 1N2D, I'm pretty confident of the way he works.

It's just a show, why does everyone sound like they are being forced to watch it? You can always choose not to watch it if it's not funny.. rather than continue criticizing it.

Well that's good for you that you enjoy it but I don't. I know who Yoo PD is but on 1N2D S1 he was just a rookie PD, ultimately I doubt he had much to do with how the show aired. Maybe he learned well from Na PD but he doesn't get confidence points from me just because of that, especially now that 1N2D has nothing to do with how it was back then. The only thing that's still the same is Kim Jong Min, everything else from the staff, cast and concept is gone.

I don't see what's hard to understand. The concept of watching something, be it a movie, drama, series or variety show because you're a fan of one person in it is nothing new. If Jun Ki had been casted then I would have wanted to watch it for him, doesn't mean I would find the show any better. And I and everybody else are free to criticize it tbh. Like I absolutely adore the Running Man cast and they're the reason I'm still watching every episode till the end even though the show hasn't been great for a while. Because I stan the cast and Running Man (or what it used to be) so much I'll probably never drop it but I also won't gloss over how much its quality has dropped. Just like I used to love 1N2D so much and because I loved it so much it's that much sadder for me to think about it now.

This is going to flop, don't do it. Or maybe do it. I don't know, I stopped watching 1N2D around the time Yoona was a guest because I couldn't watch a whole episode without falling asleep. I'll probably watch first few episodes with a new cast, because Defconn and JJY <3

I didn't even know season 2 ended, let alone that there was going to be a season 3.
The cast actually seems pretty fun, and adding one of my original biases would be the final cherry to make me watch 1n2d again. And Jung joon young has been my source of humor these days.

No not the only one. Though to be honest I'm kind of happy because it's one more reason I won't regret dropping the show even if Tae Hyun was still there. But now Jun Ki is joining it and I also love Kim Joo Hyuk so.. :S

lol OP I'm having the same reaction!!! I want it, but I don't!!! Is season 3 getting a new PD? Please say yes. Regardless, if Junki really joins I will definitely give 1N2D another chance (I stopped after Bird PD.), and I might give it chance anyway because of Joon Young cause he's hilarious.

Edit: Also, I'm kind of worried for the show in general because they have NO main MC in this cast. LBR, Hodong and Sugeun held this show together for it's entire run so far... without them it could be rough.
