Someone at YG is getting naked for their new MV

Being proud of her body, 2NE1’s CL will be revealing more skin than before.

On November 20, YG Entertainment announced that CL will be revealing her body in the upcoming music video for 2NE1’s new song Missing You.

“CL’s nude reveal will be closer to a shocking performance. It’s mostly because the image that 2NE1’s held since its debut five years ago is far from the sexy concept,” said YG entertainment.

Park Bom hinted at the nude performance in the urgent press conference held by Double Park. She stated, “Despite it being a sad song, it didn’t cost a thing for one member’s outfit in the music video.”

2NE1’s newest song, Missing You is known to be a very lonely and emotional song for the winter. It’s said that it even caused the 2NE1 members to cry a lot during the recording.

“CL, who carries a very confident image, is taking a plunge and going nude in 2NE1’s new music video. More than the nude scene being just sexy, it will be a mysterious scene that makes you feel like you’re looking into an artistic piece of a woman’s outer beauty and inner sadness.”

The song will be released on November 21 at midnight (KST).

Meanwhile, 2NE1 will be attending the 2013 MAMA on November 21 in Hong Kong. The members will depart on November 20. Following the award ceremony, 2NE1 will start promotional activities and begin its world tour to Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan starting March.

if Bom is hinting at "didn't cost a thing for one member's outfit," why is YG's PR machine playing it up as if CL will only be the nude one? i guess we will wait to see when the MV comes out. either way it media play. and even if it filmed nude, i get a feeling, due to SK being even riled up and banning outfits that were nude colour, that the video will be heavily focused on backs, faces and heavy shadowed shots.

it will depend on how the video is, but lately kpop videos have been pushing out of the normal "relative safe" * MV and concepts.

* i say "relative safe" because i am talking in context of South Korean standards in kpop.
