SISTAR’s Soyou joined the JTBC variety show “Amazing Marriage.”

On November 17, Kim Hyung Joong PD commented, “SISTAR’s Soyou became the daughter-in-law for celebrity couple Kim Tae Hwa and Jung Hoon Hee. We started filming today (November 17) at the celebrity couple’s Busan home. The regular cast of the show, Yeh Ji Won, Seo In Young, and Kim Hyun Sook finished their last filming. We plan to continue the show with a new season. Please anticipate the new members of the show.”

Furthermore, on “Amazing Marriage’s” official Twitter, Soyou uploaded a message stating, “This is SISTAR’s Soyou. I have married, please tell me the methods in receiving love from my mother-in-law.” Along with the message, the singer posted a photo of herself in a beautiful white wedding gown holding up a sign that reads, “Meeting in the in-laws for the first time! What can I do to find favor?” The image of the singer garnered attention towards “Amazing Marriage,” creating anticipation for the new season with Soyou.

“Amazing Marriage” is a variety show through which stars experience life as a fake daughter-in-law. JTBC’s “Amazing Marriage” airs on Wednesdays at 11PM KST.

are mother in laws in korea the same monsters that they are in other parts of the world or do the daughter in laws like them??

I can't say for sure but it seems that mothers in law in Korea tend to be a bit judgmental or harsh towards daughters in law. My own non-Korean mother in law was this way up until my son was born though.

So this show is like WGM but focusing on the actually in-laws? I don't know if I like the idea of that because it seems all they need is a slight change to WGM, and they'd have this show.
