Taeyeon of Girls Generation gives parents a credit card

Taeyeon’s present to her parents from her first pay check was a credit card. The Girls Generation member revealed the tidbit on the MBC program, “Sunday, Sunday night” on March 22^nd.

In Korea, the tradition is that the parents are presented with a gift (usually the flat envelope kind) from their children’s first full-time paycheck.

So what happened to good ol’ cash?
