I guess you are right. Nothing music wise really happen, less a kpop related event. I live in a cosmopolitan city, that had a lot of art and is by none meaning isolated from the rest of the world. But a lot of music, and specially film events just skip the city if not the country.

How does this work? The movie will subbed or dubbed? Are they also promoting or do they count on k-pop fans to go the theaters en masse, bringing in enough revenue?

Are most Korean movies shown abroad by the way, or is this the exception? A comment with questions, haha.

I'm pretty sure the movie will be subbed. I'm not sure if they are going to promote it, probably not nation wide, but maybe in the areas that they are releasing it.
