A drama about a group of college students who live in a boarding house located in Shinchon, run by Na Jung and her family, that houses students from all over the countryside who come to Seoul for college. It will cover the lives of college freshmen in 1994 as they learn to live in a big city and what the students will go through as they experience Seoul, the basketball tournament obsession, Seo Taiji and Kids, and other social issues that occurred in 1994.

episode 6 was probably the best so far. it took a little bit too long to get the ball rolling in all aspects, but we are finally here. still don't know which couple to root for... but this week and probably next week too, i am team chilbong and his abs lol.

i am so in love with this drama, best drama airing right now and way better than R97 imo.

i love all the characters and their personalities as well relationships, but i do have only one problem, which will make people mad at me, but i wish they gave trash less screen time, he has way more than najung who is the act7ual lead, and everyone else, and i want to see more of the other characters.

oh and najung is my spirit animal, how sad is that?

Ep 5 was amazing. Yoonjin cursing Sam Cheonpo for eating her corn chips was the best part tbh. LOL at the part when Chilbong tried making Najung speak to Sangmin on the phone. Can't wait to watch Ep 6 later. I need to see the Yoonjin/Haetae love line

I accidentally saw spoilers for the Binggeurae/Trash kiss so the initial shock/excitement has died down a lot lol.

Yoon Jin/Sam Cheon Po are hilarious together. I couldn't stop laughing at her threatening him with scissors and then kicking him in the groin.

I was pissed with the way the kids acted towards Mum but it was also totally understandable, mums always get taken advantage of. The gift and post it and fussing over her with a blanket was adorable :')

YES to the Yoon Jin/Haetae action in the next episode. I hope we focus less on Na Jeong/Trash/Chilbong (I know they're the leads but...) and see more of the other kids. AND YAY to B1A4 releasing an OST for this!!!

i know many have jump to board into Chilbong ship but for me it still oppa:P

looking forward for Haitai-Yoonjin storyline as well^^
and i hope they develop nicely Binggrae storyline..
seem he is struggling with his sexuality and his crush to oppa and that kiss is making it more complicated:P

That was probably the best episode yet. I was so worried for Mum when she was at the hospital. When Dad asked the doctor to repeat himself I thought something horrible was about to be revealed but she's pregnant. Eeeeeh! On Hoon's birthday too. I enjoyed that kiss between CB & NJ. How can you not? He just went straight in for it. I enjoyed Trash's look even more. Haha, Team Trash all the way.

This show is so much better than '97. I had to stop watching '97 because it got to be too predictable. '94 is much nicer, and I especially like all of the character stories. Mostly the parents. I even cried because of them. Ugh.

But if this show follows the same pattern as '97 I might have to stop watching. That's why I'm rooting for Chil Bong as the husband, and hoping Binggrae and Trash become a thing. Not even joking.

Episode 6 was sooo good! I love everyone in this drama, all the kids are great and tHE PARENTS!!! mom and dad make me so emotional, i love to watch their relationship with each other and with each of the kids (dad/chilbong gives me all the feels). I'm glad that we're finally seeing more of yoonjin, she's great, i can't wait for her storyline with haitai and to see her and najung getting closer (pls show, i need najung and yoojin's friendship to be a thing).

I actually saw the mom being pregnant and sungjae (oops forgot his name lol) being her son thing coming lol i'm so glad i was right, watching the kids being all sweet to her in the end made me happy :')

I'm team chilbong but tbh i feel like there's no way trash isn't the husband. Despite of the ~hints, i watch the drama and can't help but think they're telling najung's and trash's story, idk, i would be legit surprised (and happy lol) if he wasn't the husband.

Unpopular opinion but my fave dynamic is najung and haitai's. They're like total partners in crime and are just so chill. A bunch of then are freshmen but haitai and najung call each other "cheengu".

Not really rooting for an either Trash/Chilbong. They're both great guys so it doesnt matter to me who she ends up with.

I love jooyeon's cameo. She still takes off her stockings wherever lol and i love the fortuneteller bits.

Cant wait for the Haitai/yoojin love story to kick of next week. And chilbing abssssssssss raaaaaawr!

i actually don't know when the sub for this drama comes out, and had been always late to watch it apparently. so thank you, OP, for being early this time. lol.

in the beginning of ep5 i actually already make peace with the fact that this is a slice-of-life kinds of a drama. and they can drag a scene or something that might seems pointless, because that's the charm of it. but i'm glad that the storyline FINALLY actually rolling.

i like both guys for najung, but kinda leaning more toward chilbong as the husband for now. oppa is too predictable, and i think i like him better as najung's oppa. also, i hope we get some solid storyline about the other kids (BARO). and forever loling at najung's brother is named sung joon, bc sung dong il's son is actually sung joon.

okay, once i get over the plodding storyline (because the fillers are quite entertaining as well), i love how this show gets you in the heart, with a different theme each episode. i'm glad the storyline is building up. the momentum in episode 6 was great (i see you finally getting jealous Oppa!!!) and the preview had me jumping at all the drama we're going to get later.

I'm wondering the same thing. I can't quite figure out his motivations for undressing in front of her, and so nonchalantly too. I keep thinking it must have been to see how she would react. Idk, Idk. Is he trying to assert his attractiveness? Trying to remind her of her feelings for him? But that would imply that he knows her confession was true, which... does he?

I really love how we're getting to see how the boardinghouse family is forming and becoming closer with each episode. When they all came together to watch the World Cup in 1994 was what sealed it for me (plus how they all fawned over Mom!).

I love how petty and immature Yoonjin and Samcheonpo are with each other, lol. Moreover, I love that Yoonjin is interacting more with the boardinghouse members, and that she's getting more screen time (which hopefully means character development!). Looking forward to seeing her bonding with Najung. More women friendship moments, please.

Baro's understated portrayal of Binggeure is doing things to my heart. Binggeure is so precious. <3 Yay for non-stereotypical portrayals of characters who are gay.

I am rooting for Garbage Oppa, but damn does Chilbong do a really good job of endearing himself to me. The way he just smiles so sweetly whenever he looks at her, no matter what she's doing, be it stuffing her face or making potentially off-putting wink faces or cursing up a storm, just really gets to me. That sort of feeling - finding everything about the object of your affection to be just adorable and uniquely him/her - is so relatable.
