I don't know about her pronounciation, how is it ?

It's funny I thought her voice was higher here. Which makes a bigger difference with the English parts, they didn't blend together so well. Anyway, it's kinda working for me - I love this song too much. And I really enjoy that they changed the instrumental ! There is some nice bass line going on, and the verses sounded more Japanese, idk ?
I will forever love the Korean version more but nice try, I guess !

Heard she learned Japanese specifically for this debut and I feel I can hear the drop in confidence in her singing because of it. Rudimentary myself but it just sounds really obvious compared to the Korean version, idk.

Haha yes of course... But I start with the principle that every Korean idol that starts promotion in Japan is bad lol. And then, maybe, there are some that can have it a little bit better
(and lastly, the good ones like TVXQ or BoA, but I'm sure Ailee is not one of them)

I think it's in a higher key + her voice is almost 'muted' or blended in with the instrumentals, which is a huge change from the Korean version.

The way she sings doesn't bug me - in fact, I like how different it is - I just find it weird that she's higher during the Japanese parts and then, low deep English part that feels like it was extracted from the first Korean version and put on here :/

I think it's in the same key, just they've changed her voice a little bit. During "strong" parts she sounds for me same as in korean version

EDIT: yep, I am sure it is the same key as in korean version - just listen first part in both version you will hear it. Same key but slight different colour of the voice - much "sweeter" in japanese, and because of that it may seem she sings higher.

Her pronunciation is good. It helps she knows fluent english. She can pronounce /tsu/ well, which is what a lot of Koreans seem to have problems with. Her intonation makes it clear she's not a native speaker but she's very clearly understandable.

her japanese is actually a lot better than what i was expecting! i think probably because she's a native english speaker and she uses romanji and can pronounce it better rather than korean? maybe?! but when she says anything "zu" you can tell it's a korean person singing it because of the way all koreans say it

I love this song no matter what language it's in. I don't like the pv, though.

OT but I really hope she sings Ice Flower at the MBC drama awards this year. That song is everything to me.

I love everything EXCEPT for that one problem we always seem to run into: the lyrics are awkward when sung. Honestly, some of the lines could have been re-written so that it fit into the song nicely, yet wouldn't sound weird with the note being held out or sang at a specific tone.

Iono, I'm just picky.

Oh, her pronunciation was better than I expected! GO AILEE! ^.^

I still love the song much more in Korean, but Japanese sounds fine too.
