Plot Summary: Set in the world of television broadcasting, Na Mi-rae travels back in time to prevent her 32-year-old self from marrying news anchor Kim Shin, thus sending her past self down a different path and enabling her to pursue the things she really wanted in life.
Main Cast:
* Yoon Eun-hye as Na Mi-rae
A bright and lovable 32-year-old who spends her days chanting to herself, "I'm okay!" and barely scrapes by in her job as a call centre agent. But one day her future self appears in front of her and changes her life. She begins to pursue her dream of becoming a television writer.
* Choi Myung-gil as Na Mi-rae's future self
* Lee Dong-gun as Kim Shin
The network's lead news anchor. He can be prickly, but is also highly principled and upright.
* Jung Yong-hwa as Park Se-joo
The CEO's grandson who is set to inherit the network. He went to film school in America, and is masquerading as a lowly cameraman (or VJ). He dreams of building a media conglomerate.
* Han Chae-ah as Seo Yoo-kyung
A reporter on the morning show. Outwardly cute, she is smart and cunning.

I like it so far. It felt a bit silly in the beginning, but I got used to the fantasy/scifi-like plot pretty soon.

Also Yonghwa!!!! I'm so happy I can say his acting didn't make me wanna hide in a closet. His voice seems deeper (hello) and those puppy dog eyes.

Date: 2013-10-20 02:55 am (UTC)Yes, time travelling was used a lot a year or 2 ago, but I like how she's changing her own fate. What makes this work for me is that Choi Myung gil is awesome. I really like how mature Mi rae is in the future, yet you can see cracks in her facade...when she starts screaming/yelling at Kim Shin. I like the tough love, but I wish she wasn't such a gold digger. Curiously, I don't think the younger Mi Rae is a gold digger, which begs the question - what happened to her.

Date: 2013-10-22 12:37 am (UTC)I agree. I think Shin kills her brother. I think it's probably an accident of some sort or he doesn't fully explain himself because of he feels guilty. She did rage "why did you leave him to die?" at one point in Ep. 2.
I think Sejoo is chosen because he is the most accessible chaebol. She mentioned something like that in Ep. 2. The future self was just envious of Yoo Kyung. Hence why I think she's a gold digger.
Yeah. I think they won't be able to avoid fate, which generally happens with these soaps/dramas.
