They’re releasing 2 albums, both on August 19th, the day after G-Dragon will be releasing his solo debut album. Out of those 2 albums, one is a ‘BEST OF’ compiled of Big Bang’s hits, and the other is their 2nd full Japan album titled ‘BIGBANG’ consist of 5 new never before heard tracks.

your most likely option does seem to be the most plausible. and unless yg LEARNS HOW TO PLAN HIS ARTISTS' EVENTS, whatever happens, it just means more sacrifice on jiyong's part. imagine releasing his solo album without any promotions... even though his popularity alone is enough to back it up, the lack of promotions would just make everything so anticlimactic and lackluster. and this is the album he's gone through depression (screw you YG, there's no such thing as "minor depression") for. REALLY YG, REALLY? *sigh*

but what the hell. still mother effing excited for both albums :D!

I really love that despite being in Japan, they're sticking with their concept of wanting to be musicians first and idols second, thus no pictures of themselves on the cover. ♥

What I don't love is YG milking the Big Bang machine for all its worth and caving into the Japan Best Of album craze. Totally not necessary yet.

But GD not being able to properly promote his album is just...

I don't agree with the majority of the songs chosen for the Best Of album. I think there are way better songs for such a compilation.
