Is there a new release ahead? An album even?
Allkpop thinks so but it seems like SM slightly disagrees.
A report has surfaced revealing that EXO is planning to return in November with a new album.
Having released their first album 'XOXO' and returned with a repackaged album including hit song "Growl" so far this year, EXO have established themselves as a group to watch out for as they continue to achieve feat after feat.
Apart from the 'Asia Song Festival' and '2013 Changwon K-pop World Festival,' the boys currently do not have many other broadcasts and events going on; hence, they are apparently absorbed in working on their new recordings during this time.
Considering that their first album 'XOXO' as well as its repackaged album sold a total of about 737,000 copies by the end of August, if the boys do release a new album next month, their total sale mark for all their 2013 releases is expected to surpass the 1 million copies milestone.
The boys are also expected to walk away with many awards with the end of the year ceremonies coming up.

So only 6 more songs. I'm not counting this new mini because it hasn't released yet and if this rumor is true and EXO come back with a new ALBUM then both groups would have released almost the same amount of music. Plus EXO has done way more variety than Shinee this year.
I think both fandoms should take a sit sometimes, actually. I mean, MANY EXO stans were complaining about "too much Shinee" when they can't really complaint at all. Like they aren't in f(x)'s fans situation or something.

EXO literally just ended promotions (they were even nominated for a Music Core win last week) The only people I saw complaining about "Everybody" were f(x) stans (rightfully so) and Sones. EXO fans are literally still on a high from "Growl" and most were actually DENOUNCING the rumored comeback.

Sones shouldn't complain that much either because they're gonna have another comeback before the end of this year and if they like to count Shinee's Japanese material as "stuff", then SNSD has also released many Japanese material this year+lots of CFs and stuff, so...

Date: 2013-10-09 11:35 pm (UTC)But I think everyone is missing the point entirely. The issue with Shinee is they are releasing all this music that SM isn't promoting it. They didn't make a ton of variety appearances other than WGM and OFD. WSS was barely promoted and Misconceptions of Us wasn't even promoted at all. They've spent most of the year travelling back and forth to different places. They aren't even having proper comeback stages for Everybody because they have to go back to Japan.
Also, these were issues Shawols were bringing up before Exo even came back with Wolf. I think when Exo finally did come back it was pretty obvious SM were putting more effort into their promotions than Shinee's and it was frustrating people.
