I'm honestly not a fan of seohyun's acting, I find her acting and expressions awkward at some scenes that it made me cringe. but I don't want to be harsh either since it's her debut as an actress and I admit that she is doing okay as a rookie actress (I'm not really sure about it, though, since I'm probably being biased).
but what made me cringe the most is the way SM promoted this drama as if seohyun was the lead female. never really been a fan of SM's media play, even when I'm a SMTown biased.

Date: 2013-10-06 06:54 pm (UTC)and the media play for seohyun be ~nation's first love~ backfired like crazy, people not only rejected it, but got mad and offended as suzy is that and no one could get close. but the most hilarious was some international sones/seohyun stans making up the rumor that selhyun was supposed to be in introduction to architecture as the part was written for her, but sm didn't accelt the role, so suzy owes her fame to seohyun.

Date: 2013-10-24 10:01 pm (UTC)many fans first said that the role was written for seohyun in mind, when the pd himself says in an interview in the movie dvd bonus features, that he wrote the character inspired on his very own first love. about seohyun possibly being cast, never once news about that appeared or were discussed when the movie was released, which is odd. but it appeared first in a message board, around the time seohyun got casted in her drama, then way later this article you linked showed up, all around the time seohyun drama participation as airing. i am not opposed to the part being offered to her first, but there is no actual source of someone actually saying it happened.

seohyuns acting was okay, but i really don't think such a role fits her. she needs to be in melancholic dramas, and work with the love rain director or something lol
