At the end of October, Kim Jaejoong will release his album and embark on an Asian tour at the same time.
C-JeS Entertainment said, “At the end of October, Kim Jaejoong will release his first solo album, and will embark on his Asian tour, starting in Seoul. The first concert will be held in Coex, Samsung-dong, Seoul on November 2 and 3. After Seoul concert, he will have an Asian tour as part of his activities for the solo album.”
Also, “Kim Jaejoong’s album is about 50% completed, and will be featuring several artists who participate in the composition and recording of the songs. The recording atmosphere is very good. Kim Jaejoong’s own composition will be included and please expect to have a high quality album.”
Also, “Kim Jaejoong’s rock album will contain a variety of genres and the audience will experience a breathtaking rock festival atmosphere. This concert will be like a rock festival in Seoul and the concert audience will be treated to fantastic and full of passion performances.”
Last January, Kim Jaejoong’s single ‘One Kiss’ from his first mini solo-album ranked first in iTunes rock chart in Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and other 9 countries. His album also went #1 in music charts in real time, daily and weekly charts both domestically and abroad.
Also, ticketing to his ‘Your, My, and Mine’ concert in Kintex has the record of having the longest server downtime and also the most number of international IP address accessing the webpage in history. His Yokohama concerts were also sold out and applications that were received are 4 times more than the number of tickets to be sold, proving his popularity.

Date: 2013-09-30 09:10 pm (UTC)Please, dearest Kim Jaejoong, rock the fuck out of your imperfect raspy ass vocals, glorious dark stylization and creeptastic imagination, and take it to the next level. MINE was like an appetizer, and the meal never came. Loved Kiss B. But rock. Want. Rock. Omg, want duet with Heechul rock. Or Changmin, though I think the world will stop spinning before that happens.

Date: 2013-10-01 05:56 am (UTC)Likewise. I wish rock was more widely accepted in Korea, and pushed more. But nooooo, all the amazingness is basically indies, cept for a few artists that have popped up now and again.
Oddly your icon just made me wonder if Jong could pull off some oldschool hairband rock with his pitch. The possibilities for various genres of rock in Kpop are endless.

Date: 2013-10-01 06:30 am (UTC)"Close Ur Mouth" was still a fairly poppy single track, so I'm deathly curious about what M&D could do if they explored more into rock territory with a mini or full album. That XMan clip is a thing of beauty. Not only is Heenim's voice suited for rock, but he's got that rock-star charisma. And like you said, Jungmo's skills are amazing.
Back when I frequented J-rock sites, someone told me that rock was banned in Korea -- as a joke ofc. So I tried to find some K-rock and concluded that it may as well be illegal there. XD I'm starting to stumble upon a few bands now, though.
I've thought about that before too, and I think Jong could pull it off. He also seems to have a bit of that dramatic flair hairbands are famous for.

Date: 2013-10-02 12:36 am (UTC)Yeah exactly, it had rougher vocals than most pop, but it wasn't really rock even with Jungmo's skills going on. To be honest, I/Y was pretty lacking at the end of the day as well, save for MINE and I'm blanking on the name of the other song that was more acoustical. I think Heechul was definitely born to rock the fuck out, and his personality is spot on. Same with Jae, and his ability to style not only fashion wise, but set design and composing. The dude can write, that's for damn sure.
I know, right? It's really sad how underground it STILL is, though there's a bit more that pops up randomly here or there. It's definitely nowhere near mainstream though, and it breaks my heart.
He'd fit in so well it kind of scares me, and yet intrigues me. It's sad, but for some reason he always makes me think of Hiroto from alice nine. when he's got that blonde shaggy thing going on. Similar dinosaur genes run through them, I think. Kinda. Or I'm nuts, one of the two.

Date: 2013-10-03 03:24 am (UTC)Maybe "One Kiss" was the other song you're thinking of? I agree, most of the tracks on I/Y weren't rock. They were nice enough and Jae's voice was gorgeous of course, but I was kinda expecting more rock in the mini album. And M&D's song was like... rockish pop or something. I'd really love to see these guys doing the genre full-out, because they do have the voice, personality, skills, style for it. And a love of it, most importantly.
Yeah, I only stumbled upon a couple bands due to covers by K-pop singers, and just don't hear much about K-rock in general -- perhaps it'd be different if I lived in Korea though. Oooh, I'll try those songs in a few minutes, thanks for linking me. They mentioned Boohwal's "The More I Love" (which I first heard via Yesung's cover), so the following recs are probably awesome.
As much as I adore pop, rock is my musical root, so there are quite a few idols I'd be interested to see try it. Also, I looked Hiroto up and can see the dino resemblance in a few pics
