Idol group MYNAME is gearing up to make a comeback next month.
According to their agency H2 Media, MYNAME will release a new single on October 11, prior to the release of the entire EP three days later on the 14th. The new song is a medium-tempo dance number.
The agency stated, “This time, it will be possible for fans to feel a different charm as the group will present different dance moves.” They added, We haven’t shot the music video yet, nor have we settled on schedule for any live appearances.

They are hugely active in Japan, too. My favorite, and imo some of their best, songs are their Japanese releases.

Date: 2013-09-25 03:23 am (UTC)Their biggest-budget release is "Baby I'm Sorry" which is a 20 minute long gangland epic about what happens when you're in a small-fry/HS gang and you challenge the big boys (spoiler: nothing good).
The MV was a kind of metaphor for trying to make it in a tough entertainment industry and MYNAME's company staked everything on its reception: if the public didn't support it, MYNAME was going to call it a day and disband. A lot of people liked it though so here we are. The video is pretty heartwarming, especially if you know the backstory, and MYNAME's acting in it is good.
I think there are other underrated groups with better music (ZE:A, 100%, and even NSONIC and NTrain had one or two catchy singles), but MYNAME are rly rly cute.
