i went with mtv k's translation of the song's title, but allkpop called the song 'In the Beginning, a Thing Called Love.' i'm not sure which is the more accepted english title.
I'm not the fan of falsetto parts, but otherwise it's a nice song, though not very original sounding. SK will no doubt think that it's the best thing since sliced bread (I feel that at this point Busker Busker is put on such a pedestal in SK that they could release song made of burping noises and it would hit Melon roof). Anyhow Busker Busker is a perfect example how road into the hearts of Koreans goes through TV (you don't see Koreans caring much of other indie bands that haven't been in a popular reality show*).
*I was really hoping that Busker Busker's popularity would encourage people to check out also other bands in the Korean indie scene, but alas that didn't happen.
I think Intl fans see a different side of Kpop. in korea most festivals are full of bands but it's hard to do well in the mainstream without big backing or Cfs. Even 10CM got big through CFs on TV.
Tv is everything but right now companies pander to idol groups who can at times barely crack top 50 but get a young demo to watch the shows, though most music show ratings are pretty bad.
I really like this. I like the relative simplicity of the song, it's got a sort of raw feeling to it that appeals to me. Looking up the lyrics, the overall feeling really works imo.
I was neutral towards the song when it first started, but about halfway I warmed up to it. The video was more touching than the song. The song was decent. It just didn't strike a chord with me or anything. This is the 2nd time Buskerx2 failed to grab my attention. Guess I'll just stick with Nell and Dear Cloud. :P
I like it but definitely not the earworm Cherry Blossom Ending was. I can't wait for the netizen comments though - "As expected of Busker Busker", "Perfect song for the fall", "Stupid fangirls"
The album has a lot of really nice tracks though! Idk which album I prefer overall. It's nice to hear a recorded version of 시원한 여자, I like Love Is Timing and Autumn Night's a nice instrumental.
