All the members of Korea’s top boy band Big Bang (G-Dragon, Taeyang, Top, Dae Sung, Seungri) and girl band 2NE1 (CL, Dara, Bom, Minzy) are appearing in Mnet’s “WHO IS NEXT: WIN” show, a survival program that portrays the process of the birth of YG Entertainment’s new idol band.
Beginning from the first episode aired in the afternoon on August 23, “WIN” has been airing at 10 pm every Friday. At the end of episode 4 airing on the 13th, the preview of episode 5 will be shown and all the members of Big Bang and 2NE1 will make an appearance.
According to TV insiders, Big Bang member G-Dragon and Taeyang, who are close friends from childhood, took one of WIN's Team A (Kang Seung Yoon, Lee Seung Hoon, Song Min Ho, Kim Jin Woo, and Nam Tae Hyun) and Team B (B.I, Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Kim Dong Hyuk, Koo Jun Hwe, and Song Yoon Hyung), to play the role of each team's coach and advisor.
One insider said, “I cannot say which team will be coached by G-Dragon and Taeyang, but both of them had great passion in advising the junior artists by telling them about their own experiences as an artist and teaching them about singing, rap, and dance required for a singer.”
The insider added, “Even though this episode is about a match between G-Dragon’s team and Taeyang’s team, when it is seen from a bigger picture, both of them support both Team A and B. Team A and B, taught by G-Dragon and Taeyang, were judged by Big Bang’s T.O.P, Daesung, Seungri, and 2NE1’s CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy. All members gave affectionate advice to the new artists in both teams.
The preview of the match between G-Dragon’s team and Taeyang’s team will be aired on the 13th and the episode itself will air on the 20th. The winner of the match is selected by viewers’ vote which will be conducted for a week from the 20th until the next episode.
Meanwhile, in “WIN” episode on the 13, YG’s “WIN” team A and B form a team together and visit JYP Entertainment with YG’s head Yang Hyun Suk, to have a showdown with a team of new artists of JYP Entertainment, YG’s friendly rival.

Date: 2013-09-13 06:54 pm (UTC)this is what im talking about and nothing else from the article. The team i put behind the spoiler tag is the team that ends up winning YG artist votes (because yg spoiled it in an interview a couple weeks ago) but their votes dont count for anything. In the end only the public will get to vote who they want to see debut.
which happens from the 20th until the next episode.
again i was talking about who the YG artist picked as their favorite performance. The public will get the finally word on who they want to see debut. However, theres like 5 more weeks before the public gets to vote.

Date: 2013-09-13 08:26 pm (UTC)From the article: The winner of the match is selected by viewers’ vote which will be conducted for a week from the 20th until the next episode.
So to me it looks like the YG folks judge, but then the actual winner of this particular match is voted on by the public in the week between episodes.

Date: 2013-09-13 03:01 pm (UTC)I really love that GD in particular seems to see himself as part of the overall generational experience, that after being "brought up" by YG, he wants to bring up the next generation, and he sees part of his future as producing and writing for others after he's done performing (NEVER LEAVE US GD!!!! ;-) This will be the first time to really see that in action, so I'm looking forward to it.

Date: 2013-09-13 05:02 pm (UTC)Taeyang might have more success bringing out the voices in Team B
GD is producer tho, he knows what sounds good and what not (most of time ofc)

Date: 2013-09-13 06:42 pm (UTC)as much as taeyang gets on my nerves lately, he has always been a good performer and knows how to stand out against all the other bb members, which is something team a really needs. not only that but team a needs to learn how not to over power each other vocally/rapping wise and i think taeyang can teach them that.
GD in the other hand isnt a good singer so it makes sense he went to the other team that has weaker vocals like himself. that way he can give them pointers on working with that they have. he also knows how to deal with different tones and making them sound good (seungri voice is lighter than the other members but gd finds way to work it well in bb)
both gd and taeyang know how to enjoy performing so both team will get helpful pointers in that area.

Date: 2013-09-13 06:46 pm (UTC)I mean he used to be but the past BB show I've seen he wasn't able to dance and sing at the same time and his solo were'nt really entertaining
He would be a great vocal coach though, but a performer idk... I'm not sure
