T-ara has lost their lawsuit against the fashion brand Chatelaine.
Last year in March, the girls signed a 400,000,000 KRW (approximately $366,100 USD) contract with Chatelaine. However, after the girls got a negative image from the scandal in July 2012, Chatelaine dissolved the contract. Core Contents Media agreed to return the contract money and issued a promissory note for the amount.
When faced with compulsory execution, Core Contents Media filed a lawsuit against Chatelaine, claiming, "They should have stopped the CFs with T-ara as models, but they kept using them. They should cancel the agreement and the compulsory execution should be disapproved."

However, on the 8th, the judge ruled that the plaintiff's lawsuit be dismissed, ordering Core Contents Media to pay Chatelaine 400,000,000 KRW.

If they dropped the girls but continued to use the commercials you should have presented a better case AND not signed a promissory note to pay them bac

They're like the whack-a-moles that keep popping back out no matter how hard you slam them back down

OMG I feel bad but I laughed so hard when I read this comment.

I don't know why OP deleted that part.

Well it all depends on the contract they signed. This doesn't really tell us anything...

But, in other news, someone was saying on OneHallyu that they are coming back later this year so that's something. Hoping for a jam.

If they were still using them as brand ambassadors then isn't that an issue. I'm assuming important details are missing.

You know, I don't care much about this group, I came to know kpop at exact tine they were having that bullying scandal or whatever but I have to admit I feel sorry for these girls.
When their contract end, they should sign with different agency.

The head of their company seems to have realized - after none of the other acts signed to his label were able to step into the money-making role T-ara occupied - that he needs them. So I'd say, after everything they've been through with Core Contents Media, they should probably stick it out... now that the balance of power has shifted... they probably have more power now than they ever had in the past.

They're just going to go downhill no matter what happens

which is pretty sad. I did like some members and loved some of their earlier songs

Aren't they popular in Japan? Maybe they should just focus making Japanese albums, and Japan is bigger market. These girls are still young, they can bounce back with the right management..and I'm sure they're talented as well.

I don't know much about their popularity in Japan. But yeah, maybe in Japan but not in SK. They have a pretty bad rep, from what friends from SK told me. In the future, maybe?

Japanese interest has definitely waned. Their album released last month sold 24k, when the one before it sold 100k.

??? I think the story is like this:

1. T-ara signed contract with Chatelaine.
2. T-ara got negative image.
3. Chatelaine wants CCM to return their money.
4. CCM hasn't pay the money which led to,
5. Chatelaine didn't put down T-ara's image as ambassador yet.
6. CCM complains that T-ara's image is still being used (but they still hasn't pay)
7. WTF CCM ??

for the female korean idol standards she is pretty tall, during dream high days she was just a bit shorter than suzy, who back then was 1.68, so i guess she is around 1.66.

She's standing next to Boram and Qri (and Qri's behind her), that's what's making her look tall. Boram's one of the shortest if not the shortest idol in Kpop. She's officially the same height as Sunny, but she always seems smaller somehow.
