GI had to change their title song from 'Don't Lie' to 'ㄱ' because 'Don't Lie' didn't pass regulation

GI (Global Icon) had their comeback with the release of their 1st mini album 'Tremendous' yesterday, and it turns out that originally, their title song was "Don't Lie".

"Don't Lie" is a song the girls prepared for over a year, featuring rapper Dok2 and produced by NACO. However, the song was banned from broadcast because of the profanity, and the girls will be promoting "ㄱ" as their title track instead.

Simtong Entertainment said, "We prepared the song for a while. We're so disappointed that we couldn't put on a good stage because it was banned. But 'ㄱ' is a great song, too, so please look forward to it."

but yeah! im so excited that their gonna make an MV for this! hopefully other artists jump on the bandwagon and start to make their songs sound more bollywood and other countries like. nowadays when everyone is scrimping over new concept ideas, why dont they try music from other countries?

I don't always love "Bollywood inspired" concepts because it ends up being so cheesy and costume-y. But I like that they tried something unusual. The song actually makes me think of what 2YOON could have been. And hey, I watched the drama Heartstrings in its entirety... plus I love the sample GD used for Niliria... who says you can't use traditional Korean instruments in kpop??

i remeber 2yoon trying country music. fun fact- snsd's B side track for their debut single was actually a country song too!!! and it was so awesome!! XD i havent heard many country inspired songs from kpop, but this one is brilliant!



i know. i wish kpop would experiment more with the sound rather than the concept. but i guess that 'sexy/cute' is waay safer than trying something new :/

Wow, that is a lot of choreo. To me it sounds just like all the guitar-driven (western) pop songs from that era. As much as I like their Japanese releases, I will always think that snsd has way too many members.

I like both tracks, but "ㄱ" gets all the points for the instrumentals and lack of DoK2. Excited for this comeback!
