We can't say we didn't see this coming with the competitive nature of this event, but EXO's Tao and INFINITE's Woohyun and Sungyeol were revealed to have suffered minor injuries while filming the 'Idol StarAthletics Championship'.
According to reps at the scene at Goyang Stadium, Gyeonggido on September 3, Tao injured his back while competing in the high-jump challenge. It's said he hit his back the wrong way while he was jumping. His fellow members escorted him out to receive treatment, and Tao later returned and assured fans that he was alright.
Woohyun and Sungyeol also injured their chin and back when playing in the futsal [indoor soccer match] games while getting competitive and bumping into people.
INFINITE's agency calmed worried fans who heard the news by responding, "Thankfully, it wasn't a big injury. They only slipped slightly, it's not something that fans need to worry about."
Hopefully, the rest of the idol stars got through the filming safe-and-sound!

But definitely i feel like Sm isnt really under pressure to show up. It's probably more of a choice for them.
But these nugu rookies from smaller companies barely have any shot at getting any spots on variety shows and if they dont cater to the PDs, then those chances will even be lower i guess.

Accdg to a starlight who was there, he hurt his ankle but it wasnt that serious since he was walking and still smiling. He went to the hospital before the whole event ended and only N and Hongbin stayed to greet the fans.
jellyfish wanted to cancel their goodbye stages because of Leo's injury but vixx was nhft so Leo is going to be performing in a chair this week.

Date: 2013-09-04 03:17 pm (UTC)I honestly hate idol olympics. I see a complete waste of time and the only thing we get out of it is idols getting hurt. They treat the idols poorly, they record for hours without proper meals or even bathroom breaks. they have to ask for permission to go -_- wth?
the injuries might not sound too bad, but just look at Leo! He has his leg fucked up. And I'm worried one day all these back injuries will come and hunt Tao. My dad was exactly like him when he was younger and kinda ignored the injuries on his back and now he sometimes can't even stay in his bed because the pain is so strong he starts crying he has to go to the hospital.
